Can you please advise me about the mango enclave in DHA Multan L-Block? What is it as it appears on the masterplan with lots of small crosses. I have got a plot facing this mango enclave in yesterday's balloting. Is it a good location and is it worth holding.

SB to be honest these were all mangoes and kinnows orchards in past......now it either they keep a little memory of it by keeping a small memory of mangoes or chance is they unable to buy this land so far and called it mango enclave :)

We can not say at all that DHA Multan ballot is transparent. Until it is verifiable, it is all just believe on words without any proof. If DHA is transparent, they can show the list and release it at the moment ballot was done. Creating a PDF file with few thousands records directly from ballot software is no. brainier these days.
One will only hide if there is something to hide, otherwise, show to public that it is transparent.
But might is right in Pakistan, no. one can do anything as nothing is working in our country. Courts, law, govt. Even if DHA say that we will choose winners in day light, they can, nothing to stop them. So, just keep quite and accept whatever is there.

Today DHA Multan application verification deadline passed, DHA Multan web site today not showing verified applications which earlier it showed. Did any body try to verify application today? Wondering if this is only for me or for all (some technical issue)

o - FBR role should be abolished.
o - Transactions be recorded on actual value and DC values brought up.
o - Taxes to be reduced to keep the balance with increased sale / purchase price.

One thing more!
Overseas Pakistanis should be given facility of overseas bank account. Transaction from that should be considered legal and a proof of income not required for tax purposes.
Fair and transparent transactions are in every ones interest and hope govt will move early before getting the situation bad

I opened Both Local and FC Account in Lahore near my house staying abroad, If you are in UAE go to nearest UBL/HBL and Discuss with Manager, they Cheque 50 DHs Fees, in 3 weeks they deliver your Cheque Books, On reaching Lahore you have to activate Cheque Books that is 5 Minute Job open with minimal amount and then you can operate it fully once all things OK

@ Mr Habib: You have mentioned "opening of account" procedure for expats but Q raised by Mr Zahid is there- - - "transactions via this account need legal proof of income or not?"

I talked to UBL staff in Doha for this type of account. They said you still need legal certificate and each certificate costs QR-150 (~4300 Rs). This certificate can be taken for each transaction alone or for 1,2,3 years cumulative transactions.

Point well explained. Transaction from OPA(oversea Pakistani Account) to be considered proof of income for tax dealings. There is not such status to encourage OPs to invest back in the homeland.

Changes changes and changes will make the situation more confusing. To put an end to all this confusing situation, all Dar needs to do is reverse all the changes he made in the tax percentages and that theory of fair market value and FBR.

Once it's been reversed, all they need to do is to increase the DC value and that is it. Business will be good again and Gov will generate more revenues than before.

There is Allied Express Account in Allied Bank which is tax free and only way to do credit transactions is through remittance from abroad. Debit transactions you can do like normal account. I was told by bank manager that there is no. tax on debit transactions from this account. So, I opend it and using it. May be other banks have similar accounts.
You do not need proof for CBR for source of funds as only way to deposit in it is through foreign remittance.

Agree with suggestions of AQEEL dedhi.

Transactions should be recorded at actual rates.
Tax rates/transfer fees should be reduced to 1 or 2%.

This way there will be no black money issue. No fear of blackmail from FBR. No confusion of varying federal /DC rates. Since transfer fees will be 1-2% of total amount so buyer/seller will also not have any issue with it.

A bit different topic,

I am in process of replacing AC in My home in Pakistan to invertor AC there are many in Market ranging from 58 to 70 , I have read in detail and know how they work I would like to get the experience of forum members based on the brand they used. especially who also have electronics Knowledge Few Questions are...

What is meant by This Ac is not full invertor and use AC as as starter?? Can this AC take start easily on 180 to 190 Volts what I Understand starter only Kick for 0.5 Second should not be an imapct on bill.

If some one have checked Amperes of AC How much these fall when desired cooling is achieved, I am interested in Knowing the experience based on the brand you have installed.
My Electrician is recommending Kenwood 60K it is cheaper too but I think its presence is less for after sale repair etc as Compared to Haier which is 70K.

Jameel Sb,only go for Panasonic , Ascon and Gree in order of priority. I am using Gree and Panasonic for past 2 years when no body appreciated Inverter technology.

These seem expensive (78 to 100K) but worth the price.

As already Jamil Sab put a unrelated question so i will take advantage of this,
Actually I am constructing new house and some companies advice to install proper ducting and water evaporator system mostly from china and (breezair) from Austerlia. They put one unit at roof and cool the air like traditional air cooler and deliver to rooms by regular duct.It is recommended becz it is energy efficient and cool your whole house including kitchen and lounge but it will not work in monsoon weather..

i have bought Orient invertor AC two year before,a horrible experience,stop working after two months, contact orient service, they said there are three kits inside unit, one of them stop working and warranty did not cover that. first they asked they will try to repair it then eventually suggest to replace it. paid 24 thousands no warranty was given again of these parts, after couple of weeks again stop working, please avoid orients investor if possible.

I am an Air Conditioning Engineer. I have done comparisons of reputed three brands in terms of initial cost - life cycle cost

The best turned out to be Daikin Brand {Its Japanese Technology assembled in Malaysia}. Gree and Panasonic using all Chinese parts but Daikin still use thai or Malaysian parts.

We have Daikin ac in offices and working since 1987 and giving ultimate performance.

Please whenever you go ask for Daikin Malaysian models FT or FN series and inverter type . Initial cost high but their distributor very good in Pakistan MIA group who also market ACSON brand.

Daikin also economical as parts failure rate is negligible.

We recently installed Gree 1600 BTU and Samsung 1800 BTU, DC inverter ACs at home. Samsung till now look better than Gree. Gree cost us Rs 63000 and Samsung Rs 89000/- Samsung is made in Thiland.

Dear all members of forum,
For overseas ,there is no such income tax so most of overseas do not have National Tax Number (NTN).
As you know that the new imposed advance Property tax (for NTN hoder 1% and for non NTN holder 2%).SO if somebody from overseas want to invest in Lahore,
please discuss the simplest way to get NTN number to avoid 2% tax without future tax department troubles.
