Dear LRE/CMY and Friends,
I am unable to understand why all the housing societies in Lahore give their location reference from Lahore Airport, i.e. 10 minutes from Airport, 20 minutes from Airport etc....
How many times in a year people travel to airport? Just a thought!

Motorway entry / exit but airport is beyond me. |

Airport is used as a popular, easy to locate & common reference. For anybody local or overseas, it will be easy to locate that society. This reference is also used to lure overseas customers, which play an important role in real estate. |

Despite all the pros and cons I would also love to have my house near Lahore Airport since the ambience of this area is excellent that can be compared to the well developed cities in the world. |

We are nation of strange people. Overall our analytical skills have not developed enough to analyze common issue to the core. That is the reason we are being exploited everywhere. Unfortunately our education system is pathetic and more pathetic is the way mathematics is taught in our schools. Result is that we focus on surface values rather than core issues. Same applies to the real estate. We prefer to live close to airport to listen and count daily take offs and landings rather than finding good and economical schools and hospitals, approaches and links to access our offices, etc. We are being exploited in the name of style, luxury, status, class. Sorry for being blunt but that is the truth and that is the reason we as a nation not progressing. |

2 reasons:
1) Due to herd mentality.
2) With a large population and large family sizes, every month some unwanted relative arrives to spend holiday. Driving to pick them is a hassle. :-) |
