This policy is implemented to move out of radar of FATF.
Also to induce people in tax net.
International buyers have many other opportunities rather than buying property in Pakistan, since whenever country gets hit by inflation it effects the most sought after commodities. It’s a sell off market but unfortunately no buyer is interested in buying.

I think things are going to get much worse than at present. This is the start. Pakistan needs 26 billions dollars per year. even with IMF loan of 12 billion we remain in trouble. I dont know what the Government is planning

Personaly i think the prices will go up for real estate especially after injection of more money by government. Government policy is also a major factor for real estate. For example if there are two plots in a country and government has 10 rs injected. Per plot price will be 5. If they inject more money say 20 rs. Price of plot will increase and same goes for other commodities. Inflation will increase and so will be the commodities. Especially on small plots where we dont have any issue on filer/non-filer in different societies. USD-PKR rate in PKR is mostly a mentality where people get panic. Inflation is micro indicator. This government will try to bring back pkr. Property market is not flat. Country is heading where corrupt people will be afraid to do corruption and tax money robbers will be afraid. We as a nation have very less patience. Look around. Successful countries who prospered took decades. This government even with U turns are doing somethings which previous governments did not do for years after years.

I am against the slogan of imran that point out black money and take 20% of it. NO , it should be pointed out as a national duty of every citizen. Pakistan needs 26 billions dollars per year and even with IMF loan of 12 billion that too for 3 years will do little help in this regard. Eventually, we have to do more devaluation and eventually bring the imports from 60 billion dollar to 40 billion dollars. That means everything will go up. Hard times for next 3-4 years.

Maybe I was unduly harsh in my post, and its probably because of another person's post who claimed to be an army man. He showed contempt, used extremely foul language towards "civilians"--the people who foot his bill. I am one of those people who pay USA taxes as well as Pakistan taxes(so I foot Pakistani ARMY's bill twice ;-) ).We certainly can't tar (our rather large ARMY) with the same brush. There are definitely good people in the army, and definitely people who have sacrificed themselves and died for Pakistan.
I do think that Pakistani ARMY of 2006, is unduly mercenary, get-quick-rich etc., more interested in maximizing wealth rather than doing its duty. However, its a broad discussion and its outside the focus of this forum. I would like to apologize for my harsh comments...we can't blame individuals for collective, systemic, institutional problems.

I think the persons who are bad-mputhing the Army are Indian agents because that is exactly what happened in East Pakistan. The Indian agents submerged with the local populace did nasty things and blamed it on the Pakistan Army, which in turn fueled the emotions of the public against the army and that is the ONLY reason why our army lost in 71----because the army was fighting at 2 fronts;against the Indians and then against their own population who had turned against them! This is exactly what some pathetic jerks are trying to do in this forum---trying to fuel emotions of naive people whose lottery did not hit jackpot and they lost ONLY 5000/-. Let's be rational here and not be led by these bunch of traitors amongst us. I am a proud pakistani with no relations in the Army and I find it extremely disturbing that we start bad-mouthing our own brothers in the Army. What Mr. Zafar has quoted in his early post regarding 71 incidents is absolutely bull#@*%!. I have studied history in detail and all I can say is that he is one person who lives abroad and finds it fashionable to copy the U.S. system onto the Pakistani system. Mr. Zafar, you must have also noticed that recently all top appointment, including the CIA chief and the NSA chief are all Army men. When you have to face the adversary 24/7, I guess it becomes a compulsion that such decisions have to be made. Let me also remind you that it was the Army chief who forced Mr. Nawaz Sharif (then Priome Minister) to affect the Nuclear blasts in May 1998, otherwise the Indian PM had started addressing our PM with insulting remarks and Mr. Nawaz Sharif was comfortable with that.
Whew, enough of this discussion. I just wanted all you guys to know that we stand strong as a nation if we are ONE, but if we start tearing at each others throats just because we did not get a plot in DHA is absolutely unacceptable. And S.A. Malik from UK, YOU are the one who has turned about.

Dear Zafar Sb., I think the reasons for the fall of Dhaka are complex. Qurat-ul-Ain Haider in her novel "Aag ka darya", which was published in 1959, takes us through some rural parts of East Bengal set in 1954. She describes how rural Bengalis felt disparaged by the government officials from West Pakistan who were posted in those areas. Therein she makes a prophetic prediction that East Bengal will separate from Pakistan.

My father served in Dhaka as a civil servant from 1958 onwards for about 3 years. He recounts no enmity between Bengalis and West Pakistanis.

I hope u r silently observing these RAW/ KHAD agents who are tarnishing the image of PAK ARMY through your web site on the plea of loosing Rs 5000 to DHA. They are misusing this facility which you have dedicated only for real estate and not for this purpose. Plz look into the matter. As far as the recent ballot is concerned even the military people who had applied in thousands against only 1500 plots,have also lost Rs 5000 each. Out of 2000 plots 25% quota was given to civilian brothers out of own quota of army personnel. This amounts to giving own share to civilian brothers by the army individuals.If we calculate, each category A to J(total 10) meant for army personnel had roughly 150 plots and thousands in number applied against their respective category. Not a single army loser including the retired, has shown his annoyance sofar since he considers it to be his luck. On the other hand some people like above are making unnecessary propoaganda against army and the benefit of this is being enjoyed by the Indian Agents. Therefore plz take necessary steps against such people who are using ur website as their plateform for such poisionus propaganda.You have the means of identifying such individuals otherwise the dedicated technicians of “Mr smart4u” may also solve the problem. You asked why army take over after couple of years in Pakistan and that does not happen in India.

Dear, reason is simple. Our politicians are not as mature as Indians. In Pakistan we do not accept defeat may it be for politician in elections or for people like you in DHA Ballotting !!
We blame other immediately that they have mal-practised without any inquiry or proof. Same is visible in this page about DHA ballotting.

Once a part loses elsection, its leaders goes on GHQ gate and start begging Army Chief to topple sitting govenment. That does not HAPPEN in India. They accept defeat and look for next time.

Once politician themsleves call Army for intervention then why to blame Army. Have you seen the musical chair of PPP and PML-N after Zia till President Musharraf took over ?

Fact is we have not got rid of UNIONIST PARTY of Khyzer Hayat Tiwana till now. Their generations have occupied places in all political parties. In India, Nehru being wise man terminated all Jagirs and Nawabs. So people in India are liberated and people of Pakistan are still slaves of Sardars, Choudaries, Rajas, Raees and Syeds........

If you like System of India about Army, Please implement Indian model for Politicians and for feudal lords as well

Armies do not lose war, nations lose wars.

Pak Army was defeated in 1971 once politician and other segemetns of society made the situation so worse that army of angels could have restored the situation.

SA Malik UK forgot the annihilation of Soviet Union under the able guidance and control of Pak Army where a Super Power was not only defeated but was disintigrated.

Kargil was lost due to stupidity of Nawaz Sharif once he assured Indians that Pak will not attack from any other place. This message eased indians and they moved all artillery in Kargil Area and butchered few odd Mujahids sitting on each hill top.

Pak Army never killed own people. There is nothing to show with Baloch Rebals except fake pics of dead bodies they showed on net.
Had Pak Army been triger happy then you would seen scores of dead in 1977 agitation , in Sind MRD agitation in 1984 and in Balochistan nowadays.

Please stop blamming your own Army for losing just 5000 rupees on baseless and false isssues.
