AOA,

Can you please advise in 50 Lakh what is a best investment for my kids education plan - time frame in five year I would need the money for higher education.

My sincere suggestion for this investment might look comic but that's is matchless. Just open a branch of some renowned school. You can easily raise funds for 2-3 kis's Oxford education. Rather, you can send chartered plane for Oxford teachers to teach your children over here in Pakistan. Sorry if my suggestion hearts anyone.

@Sherry, 50 LAC is already a handsome amount and more than enough to afford higher education in pakistan. Even if you self-finance MBBS, which is most expensive education in Pakistan the cost is still lesser than 50 lacs.

Can you share what education plans you have for kids. How much return you are expecting after 5 years. Answers can be given according to that.

You need to consider a few things.

1) How much money you need in 5 years for kids education? For example if you need 64 lacs to 70 lacs by the end of 5 years, then you should look at fixed deposits such as national savings certificates or if you need to go with Islamic banking look into their products.
2) Are these the only funds that you have for kids education? If these are the only funds that you have for education, then invest them wisely and in a low-risk option and not in the real estate at this moment.
3) If you are using mental accounts for different needs you might not be evaluating your risk and return trade-offs effectively. You need to look at your total portfolio and then decide what risks are you prepared to take. If your portfolio is much larger, then you can assume some additional risk in products that might have a higher potential for profit without risking yous kids education.
4) If 50 lacs is all you have and you need a large amount such as 100 lacs; then adjust your goals and expectations and look for more affordable higher education that you can easily pay for in 70 lacs.

Bahria Town is the best place to live. There is no comparison between Defence and Bahria, apart from Defence location. However, after LRR Defence will loose this edge over Bharia as well. Defence cannot compete with Bahria town regarding structure, beauty, security, 24 hour power & gas suppy. Bahria is my first option to build a house. Prices are going high as well on day to day basis. I made my house in Oversease B last year where there were not many houses. Now it is full of houses and many more are being built. I srongly suggest Bahria Town is the best place in Lahore.

I think it depend on your personal preferences. I love Bahria Town. It is the best place to live in Lahore. After the construction of Ring road it will become even better. It is very clean, safe and without any load-shedding.

@BAHARIA PAPER VILLA i know its hard but its true when a property consultant like me sujjest a plot with posseion at once after paying all the money but people go after the things which are on paper the whose fault i think its 50 50 i have ppl who took out their foot frm this BT and waited for some extra savings then they acted on my advice and made money and some got their homes as well ppl goes for dreams and you know every Dream does not come true

I have paid all the installments for xtra large apartment in this scheme-GDA VIPApartments- by the builder Nobal hart. The project was supposed to be completed in July,09 according to the agreement but after they got full amount of total cost, they stopped communication either in writing or by phone. All the phone numbers are disconnected.Could anyone please help me find out about this mystery.I invested most of my saving into this project and now that I feel I have lost everything caused by my own country fellowmen, breaks my heart. I know about this project and company a bit. All the projects in Gwadar were temporarily stopped but the news of starting them again are there very soon. So, be patient and hope for the best. If you have invested in this company your investment is safe as this is an A+ ranked company in GDA ranking

In 2022, I have invested money with a friend who used to do construction business, that money is stuck in NDMA till now and I could not get the bill due to which I am in a lot of crisis till now. And have grown up under a lot of debt..
Some things I purchased from CSD which I can't pay the installments of yet I live on rent and my last three months house rent and electricity bill and CSD installments..If I don't pay the installments of CSD then now my salary will stop and I am totally trapped and I don't sleep day and night .
