Ahmed,
you posted questions regarding post brb area.
there are lots of developments mainly in farm houses and farm houses societies post brb, on main barki road. Further near hadiyara drain, on japan road as well, it was a forelorn area but even there lots of farm house societies.
All this area comes under cantt, so probably NOC needed from cantt admin in order to do development there.

LDA published ad a year back, notifying that no plots/societies can be cut, post brb. There was lots of hue and cry, registries were stopped at katchery in protest...till lda took its notice back.

main barki road has kanals ranging from 1crore. (yes thats rigth!, around 8 crores an acre) . Farm houses a little bit in depth, rates are between 20-24 lac per kanal...and some good systematics cuttings, around 30-40lac per kanal.

lots of hustle bustle in farm houses on weekends. There is a trust hospital building also being built, right after Barki main bazar.

Its also heard (not confirmed, please do you own diligence) that Lahore school of economics thats situated currently in phase 6, may get shifted right across BRB..as there are huge covered boundaries by owners. BRB bridge, we hear, is also on papers. Barki road, on papers is around 120, some say 240 ft.

This writer is a regular goer to post brb farm houses, some of this knowledge is direct. Some, (like LSE, or barki road plans) are told by lots of people there, but its not from a direct source in govt circle who can confirm. So please evaluate on your own.

Sir ji thank you for your comprehensive reply. Of course yes I am also currently doing my own working on the area. A question that I have is that the transfer in the region is basic registry intekaal. Is this secure or are there any loopholes one should watch out for here?

Also, I have heard much talk of Bedian road expansion also. Given that phase 9 and future site of phase 10 is also basically situated along south of bedian road, which Do you consider Bedian to be a better area to buy currently or Barki?

yes registry and inteqaal. (for inteqaal, you may want to make sure khasra gardaavary is also updated in your own name, besides mulkiyat)

Also, raqbas are jaddi pushti, as well as NOC (army allocated). If one wants to buy NOC raqba, make sure NOC trail in past buying selling is all VALID. If missing, you may have trouble later on.

barki vs bedian is a million $ question :). I naturally have tendency for barki. Better to ask some1 neutral!. One thing is, in my opinion, looks sure. Barki road areas will become developed way faster, bcz phase 7. phase 9/10, are a long bet.

A mega project can make things tilted. like Army housing (askari) new societies, will they come on barki or bedian.
