Too much unnecessary taxation on items that are not generating any money, will kill the real estate business.

This is in addition to 2-4% property registration tax proposed by Ishaq Dar for federal budget. Really bad for property business.

bhai aik plot mese investor lakho aur crores banatay hen to 1000 per year tax dedo ge to qayamat nhi ajai gi aur dont worry is mulk me property se behtar koi business nhi is tara ki news se property ko koi faraq nhi parta

And we shall not forget these taxes which already levied too.(via Mr Zahid) :)

"There are already few taxes levied on property transaction,
a) Capital value tax (CVT)
b) Stamp duty
c) Advance tax
d) Bank charges which are suppose to go to 0.6%". +
e) Fed Tax propped by Janab I$haq $$$ Sb
f) Provincial Tax proposed by another Mian (Mujtba) Sb.

And if plot is already ready by HS, then
g) Society Non-Construction charges
h) Maintenance Charges etc.

This tax is Rs. 1000 per marla... means 20,000 per Kanal.
We are sure that this money will be going to UK for buying more flats by Sons/Daughter of Nawaz Sharif or,, Ishaq $ will make another building in Dubai.
