Dear Admin,

This is non property question please allow it to be there for some time.

Actually I want suggestion from friends about immigration.

Which place is better Australia or canada.

I have both PRs now need to decide where to go

Kabooter replied on Sunday, May 22, 2016 01:36 PM

It depends on your profession. Each country has its own pros and cons and you should choose a country on the basis of professional prospects. Alternatively ask Iqra which PR he/she wants, the choice problem will automatically be solved :).

will go with Aussie for sure

I will tell you a short story of my own. I was travelling from Heathrow to Toronto. The purpose this time was to land as immigrant to Canada. Seat next to me was occupied by a middle aged British lady. We started talking. To cut story short, she asked me the purpose of my travel to Toronto and I told her I am going for landing as an immigrant to Canada. I asked her the same question you have posed since I had the option to immigrate to Australia. The lady told me there is a basic difference in people's attitudes between Canada and Australia. Original white Canadians are mostly of Irish descent while Australians are Brits. She said the Irish origin people are decent, more polite and accommodative as compared to Brits. She happened to be English as well. And she told me that I have made a right choice.I had the advantage of going to Canada since I was educated there and had lived as a student for many years and therefore knew the country.
But I must tell you that was the time when Imran Khan had married Jamiama. Now many years have passed. Australians are getting better in their attitudes and are more receptive now. Weather wise Australia is better. My suggestion would be to visit both the countries and check with the friends and relatives who are living there. Australia also feels closer to Pakistan.

East and the west. Pakistan is the best.
I àm living in KSA. I am trying hard to quite from here.and move to pakistan.

If you have got both PRs, you must be an educated and qualified person probably well set in your profession.
For anyone who is well set locally, there is no place on earth like your homeland. This is not just an emotional statement, it is based on facts.

Though I myself live in USA, but I agree first with Irfan292 & Kam and then with Darwaish as well.

Australia is better in climate there is prejudice and hate crimes, economy is slow immigration is not flexible like in Canada you go for it if you really think you will move there.
Canada Climate is very cold, Less prejudice and hate as so most people will be immigrants, Still Lot of room to grow, real estate is booming there even more than USA. Soon Canada will also lose flexibility of immigarion as they are making is more and more tough for people who are 1/2 hearted about immigration .
But again immigration is not my Subject

Winter is very harsh in Canada.we r not use to live in like this weather.people r friendly. Asian and south Asians r well settled here,u can imagine that Canadian defense minister is from Sikh community.its good to live in Pakistan but if after sacrifice of few years u can get a passport of civilized country than its worthy.u would b able to travel all around the world still u could face some hurdles when they will see your place of birth.keep in mind raising children here is a big risk.

Australia has better climate. Almost like Pakistan. But people there have somehow rude attitude. Canada has better people, better culture, better economy. But there is 4-5 months EXTREME winter period in canada. If I was you, I would choose canada.

There are 4 major factors to take into consideration for immigration.
1-Kids studies
2-Salary wages rate
3-Career growth
4- Weather

In studies,Australia is no.4 and Canada is no.5.list is USA,UK,Germany ,Australia, Canada

2-Australian avg salary per hour is $15,Canada is $10

3-All regional head quarters for Asia /pacific regions are in Australia or Singapore. While US is main hub fro head quarter in other part.

4-Best weather in Australia while Canada:)

It all depends on your circumstances, and your expectations.

If you are in a well-paying job currently, and expecting to be employed in a white-collar job in either of those countries..
DO Not...Repeat: DO NOT leave your job in the hopes of landing a white-collar job after you migrate. White-collar jobs are rare in those countries.

If you are young, and plan to run your own business when you land there, or OK with doing odd jobs once you reach there, its a good option.

Australia feels like home especially because of the weather and landscape.
While comparing the two is hard without a definite criteria, I'd say Canada is way too saturated now and probably difficult to penetrate for newbies whilst Australia has a lot of untapped potential and space for newbies.

I have never experienced racism alhamdulillah and nor did any of my friends.

If you want to judge a nation based on the behavior of a few bogans, then you can imagine what should be the image of Pakistan, where we burn down whole families in an instant based on racism, religion or difference of opinion. So don't undermine Australia with the myth of Racism.

Between the two, in these times, I'd go for Australia, good for business, work life balance and very energetic/sporty place to raise your kids.

I was in similar situation couple of years ago and decided in favor of Australia mainly due to weather. It's true economic conditions are not great and as per my knowledge same situation is in Canada. Have many friends and family members in Canada. It's equally hard to find a good job for a new comer in both countries as someone rightly pointed out in comments above.
If there are no personal issues I still recommend Australia.

Which place of Canada has best weather and has least cold in winter.

SubCon replied on Monday, May 23, 2016 08:23 AM

Completely depends on your profession but I would personally prefer Canada over Australia but that is because of personal bias perhaps. I consider Canada for attached and integrated with the rest of the world whereas Australia is somewhat disconnected due to its location. Also, I find Canadian Universities more well known across the world as opposed Australian. People in Canada are much more accomodating than Australia.

mrwise replied on Monday, May 23, 2016 08:47 AM

just moving out and leaving ur white collar job here will not solve the problem , there is a lot of struggle in these countries doing odd job and may take u lot of time to settle and khawari as well , if u are qualified enough or u have money to open up ur own small business than it is ok , going there empty handed is not a good idea , remember there are no white collar jobs for u very very rare.so to cut short forget about the weather and attitudes but focus on ur action plan what to do there and how to settle well . take enough funds think about ur childern education plan and see if u can begin ur own small business .getting a passport only after so much waiting and suffering should not be the only aim ,it is to settle down successfully so go ahead and take ur shot australia or canada

I have been living in Australia from last 15 years. Mild winter & summer. If you want to enjoy 24/7 then Australia is best. Regarding jobs, if you are in IT or finance then Australia is not bad. For science graduates it is not a great place. One of the most expensive country in the world though. Sydney is very multicultural, with halal food easy to find. I do not know much about Canada though.

AB replied on Monday, May 23, 2016 12:29 PM

My dear brothers. The aim of this wordly life according to the Holy Quran is to worship Allah. No body has suggested to Mr PPAKI that in which country you will be able to accomplish your religious obligations in a better way. This life is temporary so think and prepare the life to come. May Allah guide us to the right path.

Mrs Khan replied on Monday, May 23, 2016 02:03 PM

I always vote for canada because of its cultural diversity. It is a good place to live and raise kids but not better than Pakistan. I think you are educated person, you need to choose one according to the availably of jobs there.
I was in the same boat 10 years ago when I have to decide between US and Canada. That was very hard for me and I did "ISTIKHARA" . So seek ALLAH's guidance. HE will take you at the right path and help you on very step there.
