Arshad sb,

I have no such intention of misguiding anybody. I have only shared my view based on the facts available to me.

I personally hold 4 plots in GVR.

After the latest meeting between Malik Riaz and GVR investors the market improved after receiving assurances from MR that GVR will be completed.

I received bids of Rs 5.2 million for my plots situated in North side but decided to turn them down for the reasons I shared in my post.

If my optimism and analysis is incorrect only time will tell.

Nabeel sb,first of all plz dont think that i m against GVR or its investors. But i m against the people like Malik Riaz who r fraud and they tell the lie with innocent investors.
I was part of that meeting with MR on 26th April but unable to understand when people will understand that MR was not telling the truth and people were happy with him.why u people dont make analysis what he was saying and why market improved.
Market improved because MR gave u following Khushkhabries
1.Dont pay remaining installments till further decision
2.there will b no surcharge on late payments
3.U can transfer your file without paying installments
4.Development will b started within 20-25 days

And i was laughing on innocent people like u who were believing on him that day.
Then market improved because our dealers brothers took advantage of these things ,as they started buying files of down payments or with one or two paid installments on lower rates on that day and then within next 3,4 days and after it started drum beating that development is going to start and then they sold their files on higher rates with a very good profit in next 15 days and u people were happy that market is improving. No sir satta was improving.
So now after a month there is no chance of development and as i have already said NO CHANCE DUE TO STAY ORDER where is his promise of 20-25 days?
Market has started declining and now the people like u started drum beating for GVR just for nothing
Impact of what MR has said finished,Dealer brothers have won again.Ask any good lawyer, can MAlik Riaz start development in the presence of stay order?

Dear Arshad sb,

I am not an associate or friend of Malik Riaz. I am just an invester who has invested in projects initiated by him after due consideration.

Contrary to your preception that Malik Riaz is a fraud I believe MR has set a new bench mark in Pakistan how housing societies ought to be developed. The example set by him is unprecedented when it comes to town planning and execution.

Quality of development in Bahria town Lahore, as witnessed by me, is far superior than any housing society I have come across including DHA.

I am well aware of the delays in some of his projects and difficulties faced by many investors. But on aggregate he has delivered on his promises which is no ordinary thing keeping in mind the functioning of the state and all the vested interests and mafias out there.

I well understand that stay order implies that status quo requires to be maintained by both parties and therefore no development possible.

But as I had stated in my previous post that Bahria Town, Lahore desperately needs access to Raiwind road and GVR concept was created at the first place to make this access so unique and beautiful that no other housing society can match it.

MR had announced that development shall begin in 20-25 days. What I understand from this is that negotiations are continuing in back channels with the concerned authorities for a resolution of this impasse.

I hope, as soon as the negotiations are complete the stay order will be vacated. Unlike the pml-n MaliK Riaz is quite keen to come out of the shadow of stay order :)

I cannot speak for any one else but I will hold on to my investment in GVR. I continue to remain very optimistic of a positive outcome.
