What is the difference between Affidavit/ allocation files ? are both safe? CMY replied on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 10:42 PM
First transfer of allotted plot against free land given to DHA is called affidavit transfer. After affidavit is transferred it automatically becomes allocation letter. After few days of transfer you are given an intimation letter to collect your allocation from DHA after finger prints etc. Any future transfer will be called allocation transfer. Affidavit cost more because of lower transfer cost. Mostly people with black money prefer affidavits because no CVT STAMP DUTY etc. Sellers back out easily as no paperwork is given to seller till after transfer. Allocation costs less but their transfer costs more. CVT Stamp duty must be paid and tax reporting. Seller cant back out of a deal as buyer can stop transfer to any other person in DHA through a stay order etc. In many cases allocation could be priced higher depending on supply and demand. Some times when affidavit not in market or close to ballots allocation are in great demand. Choudry Mujahid Yasin ( CMY ) + |
