If a person has tax number but inactive for the last 6 years as he is not in Pakistan, will he be a old filer if make it active or will be new filer

o come on......filer is filer...there is no distinction between old filer and new filer....

But As his status is inactive due to non filing since last 6 years, he will be subjected to all non filer tax rates till his status change to active upon filing of return.

@User_20873, It takes not more than 5 minutes to file tax return just input your annual income and fill zero in tax to be deducted and after 2-3 days your name will be in Active Tax Payer List. Enjoy :)

old 10% sale within one year

old 0% sale after 5 years

New 10% slae withiin 5 years

Old Means old tax rates which will not be valid any more after , New means new tax rates effective from

Old means 1 Jul Jun 2016
New means 1 Jul Jun 2017

at registration form, it ask for cell no which i dnt have as i am not in Pakistan
