Query on New Property Tax,

(103868)

Dear Friends,

I have few questions where i am now double minded. My questions are as below;

1) Since 2008 i am working outside Pakistan and didn't pay any tax to FBR but i have NTN number previously. Will i be considered as filer or non-filer.
2) I bought one kanal plot in 2008 by paying CVT, Stamp duty etc at the rates of that time. As the revised tax is applicable from 2006. Do i have to pay any taxes for this plot as the tax rates are changed now?
3) Lets say i bought one plot in 2013 on 4 years installments having total price of 150lac. And i sold this plot in 2016 by 100lac. On what amount i have to pay CGT.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Regards,

You don't have to pay any tax on the plot which you purchased in 2008.
Just relax and chill.

If you made loss on sale obviously no tax is payable.

1)You are non filer as you have not submitted your tax return. The list of filers is updated by the FBR and is available on its web site.

your current status is non-active filer. when will u file all of your past five years returns income+wealth u will be an active tax filer. remember fbr can ask about any tax about last five years of income. since u purchased property in 2008 so no worry. file your returns as early as possible. only there is a chance of penalty late return filling .
