I purchased DHA 0 town 5-marla file 1-1/2 year ago, which is still not balloted. I am an overseas Pakistani (non filer). Please advise how much charges, CGT + WHT + Stamp duty + etc., once I sell it.

at Ballot you will not pay any taxes all s already paid you will just pay development Charges every 3 months I think Total 89 lac in 3 years.
when you sell you will pay
Gain tax First year 10%, 2nd Year 7.5 and 5% third year and none after that.
2% withholding Tax is not applicable as it is less 40 Lac
N.B Still there is no mechanism to calculate gain tax on Files once converted to plots, soon another amendment may come to calculate Mechanism of gain Tax on file, I guess it can be 1/2 ie 5%, 3.75%, and 2.5% of Whole Fair market price [Not the difference of sale and purchase] But wait this Point is still unclear |
