Dear Brothers,
Can any one please suggest me a good area to buy a land for dairy farm business near or within Lahore- I would be looking some area in a range of 10 million.
Further to it, any constructive suggestions are also welcome related to subject business. User_19953® replied on Sunday, September 25, 2016 01:08 PM
Dear MFA, A better option is to market existing available milk from remote areas. This to be done after you learn sophisticated technology to maintain quality and quantity your supply chain.Be a trustworthy middleman instead of doing this from scratch. For this you should select collection areas on N5 highway towards Multan. As doing it from scratch is complicated and risky practice you will be needing a lot of skill/time to manage it. |

Dear MFA, In lahore you will only be able to find 1 acre for 80 -90 lac in outskirts. i had done some research in past and i think the best area would be Lahore Nakana sahib road, reason is that its very cheap right know, and punjab govt is planning a new highway to nakana. Try to get land arround there. Range is 15-30 lacs per acre. Second best would be on motorway near the second interchange (i forgot the name) the land will have good access from motorway and also on an isolated area. The cost would be 25-45 lacs per acer. Personally i prefer motorway surrondings as it would give good access to lahore and a good place for farmhouse as well. |

I was planning to start up the same business 2 years back but then i got a job aboard so moved from Pakistan. But i do have plans to start up such a business some time in future!! The good thing about this business is that you can have few other things along with this!! for example Claves Fatining and Goat Fatining and may be poultery as well on a smaller scale!! Good stable income but alot of supervision and hard work. I am sure you can manage that. Good luck !! |

If you dont have previous experience of dairy farming then try not to go for it as your main business. It is very intensive management required business. The time one knows that it is not working normally becomes too late by then coz of its complicated model if one has no experience. Instead goat farming is much better.. keep it as main business for meat and kurbani and keep very small dairy farm for running expenses of both units. Later you can increase the size once you get the exp. |

What i mean is you collect via specialized vehicles from good dairy farms outside Lahore and sell it in well being areas of lahore in good price. For a starting point you can read through below http://pakdairyinfo.com/ For networking go through this https://www.facebook.com/groups// |

Good point User 19953 but if you do the dairy business and have good milk production, Nestle and other companies collect it from your doorstep. Plus Nestle has a collection center near Kamoki. |
