Salam,
I am purchasing a file in DHA Multan and want to know who is supposed to pay CGT. If I understand correctly, seller pays CGT and buyer pays CVT. right? Aseem replied on Thursday, November 10, 2016 03:18 PM
Dear Mr. Taimoor....seller pays the CGT in case of disposing off property within 3 years of buying it...e.g. if you buy it in 2016, you would have to pay the tax @10% of rise in value (capital gain) if you sell it in 2017, @7.5% in case of selling it in 2018 and 5% in case of selling it by 2019...in case of holding it for more than 3-years, no CGT is payable....regards... |

yes. buyer pays CVT and seller pays CGT(only if seller is a filer and selling before 3 years) CVT has to be paid at time of purchase its mandatory for the transfer to be executed but CGT cab be paid if and when seller files his tax return. NOT A FILER NO CGT |

The pak govt will take steps against inverters observing bold step of India who withheld currency notes of 500 and 1000 and will re-issue new notes after declaration of source of income. However this will not only fatel for real estate but for general business community As wwll |
