Salam Brothers,

I live in Dubai and I have one file of 1 Kanal residential file at a housing society Lahore. I This file is almost 8 years with me since the society does not have enough land thats why plot was never handed over to me for past 8 years (all installments are already paid) hence it is in dispute now.

I have a notice now from Tax agency in Pakistan to Pay Tax on it. My question is how come I have a Tax notice on a property which is FILE (not a actual land)??? Is that possible?

Also I want to clarify that I have no other type of property anywhere in Pakistan (house, shop, file, land Nothing...!) I just have this only property which is in shape of file.

@ Brother Salam,

وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّلاَمُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Its not a big issue. I experienced the same few years back. You need only to send some documents (like employment letter and copy of passport etc) to Tax department in reply of notification you received to prove that you are non resident Pakistani.
