Wood for Doors and Door Frames (Chokhats),

Dear LRE Friends

I am buying wood for doors and door frames of my house. Current rate quoted by sellers are

Ashwood is Rs. 3750/Ft
Yellow Pine Rs. 2250/FT

Kindly guide me if use of Yellow Pine for the chokhats and Ashwood for doors are good options. Also please guide me the quoted rates are reasonable.

Dear Farjad,

Ashwood Price is ok, but try to negotiate little more, but ask somebody to use Yellow Pine wood I have heard that, its produces OIL after time.
Be sure of that. go BURO better.
