Missing the time when buyers from all over Middle East countries around Ramadan time visit Pakistan and you could see a significant increase in Property buy & sell especially before and after Eid. This time is disaster; no inquires, no buying / selling, no transfer etc
I was also expecting that activity on much bigger level this years since most of them are planning to send their families permanently to Pakistan from Saudi / UAE etc due to the tax implementation and much higher living cost over their. Surprisingly, migration of those thousand of families could not help market to boost. TOTAL SILENCE !!!!

Instead of blaming government, why you people can’t see the prices of property is way too high and no at par of buying. |

I agree that the slump is due to overly expensive property prices. Even if there was no tax issue or filer issue, property would have gone down. Happened from 2005 till 2011, and before that . We tend to have short memory and think that since something is going up it will continue to go up. It just doesnt work this way |

Property prices are way too high and second reason is abundant supply of plots not only in DHA but also around many other societies which have improved their infrastructure and facilities. In my view for expats being a tax payers is not a problem like our common traders or businessmen but it is the lack of growth and oversupply that market is going towards correction. Another thing is that there is no black money or foreign aid pouring in the country which is mostly invested in real estate business. New government policies have restricted black money investments in real estate. This situation is going to prevail longer than expected time unless something extra ordinary happens. |
