The project would cost an estimated Rs.85 billion, and as part of that, the Lahore Development Authority will receive 801 kanals of private land for Rs.3.5 billion (LDA). The federal government is anticipated to give the project its final approval in the forthcoming budget.
It is significant to note that the project was approved in 2019 and was promoted as a workable initiative to lessen city pollution by easing traffic in the major urban regions. To assess the project's viability and potential advantages, the Punjabi government carried out a feasibility study. The analysis came to the conclusion that the project was doable and would benefit the city's infrastructure.
