I wand to buy a plot in Sector D-12 of Islamabad. I am not aware of the present staus of this sector. Would somebody care telling that is it possible to start construction of the house in this sector right away or would it take some time to do that?
I am an overseas Pakistani and would appreciate valueable input on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Dear SSH,
70 percent of the development work has been completed. Contractor is dragging it's feet to complete the rest of the work for the last several years. As of two weeks ago the new CDA chaiman has created a committee to oversee the work and provide a status back to CDA on a weekly basis. If the contractor choose to complete the work CDA could provide the possession by April 2009. However these dates have been moved forward many times.
D-12 is supposed to tbe most beautiful and proper sectors of Islamabad. However you may have to wait a while to start building if these dates move yet again. If you can tolerate for two years before you can build, then it is a very good place. You can find much cheaper places to build if the 'location' is not your top priority. I myself bought a plot in D-12 one last year. |
