Why are you involving yourself in this big discussion. people will show their abilities and give lengthy lessons. You are not sucking the people blood. No one will give you proper guidelines. But truely speaking, I have noticed in my life that people who are giving big big lessons on Sood, and found them in any part of their life involve in Banking interest bsiness.
They are giving instruction but they are themselves zero.

Please dont finger the Mullas. You can search this topic here already.

In theory the tax you are paying is for the services you are getting from Government. Nothing to do with Haram or Halal. Whereas Soon (National saving schemes etc) are all Haram.

It is forbidden in Islam to even give Sadaqa from Haram money and similarly all taxes must not be paid from haram money. Do not support any scheme which is dealing in Haram even if you are getting losses. Pay Zakat and Sadaqat honestly and purely for Allah Taala's sake and not for show off and not to get something in return from the needy.

If all property holders of this forum pay their Zakat honestly no one will remain poor in this country Insha Allah

God have given us certain guideline and you should interpret by your own wisdom, Knowlege and take arguments from Ulma see their point of view but then decide yourself.
God want to save us from all finacial system that is based upon Exploitation and Zulm No matter it is sood, or trade or agreement, I give you an example in UAE, You know here the right of expatriates are limited and there is always a sword of Visa renewal on their head, and they have to take signatures from their Kafeel many times a year.
Here there had been Practice of Taxi business, local will goto bank he will not invest monay or any thing gets a Taxi on Instalment , Gives to Pathan driver and tells him
1.You are reponsible for paying Instalment
2.You are supposed to pay me this much Money per Month
3.Car insurance is all you coast
4.All minataince is your headache
5. When Bank instalment will finish you will add equilat amount to section 2.
Now poor Pathan driver has To "drive" 6 hours a day for instalment, 5 houre a day for Fuel and Miantinace and Now if he want some living he will have to drive another 5 hours more.
Such that poor man have to work about 15,16 Hours a day. And arab is making money in Home without hassel or investment or whatsoever.
If income of that Arab is Haram or Halal you can continue discussion 1500 ys and you will not reach any conclusion using sterotyped Ulma.
All the systems based of Zulm no matter Trade, or Sood or law, are Haram. And and what is Zulam has been told to you by God in Inside Your brain when you was created. See Surat Ul Balad [it refers to Two ways Given to you], If you think depositing the money in National saving is no doing any Zulm to ther and helping your Govt it should not be haram.
Coming to Electricty Bill Govt is still providing you at about 70% cost, they are not over charging you. Energy is really very expensive.

Yes it is correct that Zulam is the main curse, and it is very important that muslim should come forward and promote Islamic Banking. It is very much allowed in Islam that two partners work together one should use his brain/service and other should use his capital.Only thing is that they should share the profit as well as loss, and there are many ways you can make the agreements, it is also not necessary that both should have 50-50% share it could be of different ratios. We should study these ways of various ventures and should also promote these. Unfortunately these ways has not been taught in our country and common man have have very little knowledge about them.

Well said Mr. Habib. replied on Thursday, November 6, 2008 09:58 AM

Mr Habib the words you have written "God has given us guideline and we should interpret by our own widom" are really admirable and of great importance. But the fact is that many people who say that national schemes are based on sood don't use their wisdom in fact they believe in wisdom of so called Mullahs. Those people are programmed. Any one who has faith and believe in himself is achieved little bit of peace.

Dear Zero, you can purchase a plot, construct a house over it, sometimes two portions and rent it out. Thus you can have regular monthly income, that would be purely halal and you will be in a better position to face Allaf in the doomsday.

Habib, unfortunately we people take our religion very casually. We are Muslims with very bleak knowledge about Islam. If asked to recite a page of Quran, we would make hundreds of mistakes in pronunciation. And you are guiding people to interpret shariah with their own wisdom. Not fair at all.Our wisdom will always find the course that is easy and better suits us and that is what is happening today.

Muslim replied on Thursday, November 6, 2008 11:22 AM

In many Ayats Allah claimed that, He has given this Quran in the easy and clear language so that, it will not be difficult to understand by the ordinary human beings.

Quran 44: 58 Verily, We have made This Quran easy in the tongue, in order that they may give heed.

No matter which translated Quran we read, the Quranic materials remain the same to us and every sentence is self explanatory and it does not take a rocket scientist to comprehend what is the message Allah wanted to transmit for mankind. Yet, some Muslims try to have their personalized “divine guidance” based on their own preferences. Allah has given us the Noble Quran which is just like a Map which is supposed to be followed as prescribed. Now if we have to use our own navigational system (wisdom) to find out the correct course of action then what is no use of this Map, the Noble Quran. If this has been the case then any body can find what he is looking for in that book, thus can have a midway by believing in some and rejecting others. For such people The Holy Quran tells us.

Quran 004.150 "Those who believe in some but reject others": And (those who) wish to take a course midway,- 004.151 They are in truth (equally) unbelievers; and we have prepared for unbelievers a humiliating punishment.

Interest on money has been forbidden very clearly by Allah. No matter what wisdom or guidelines you use to make it lawful on the pretext of present age’s financial system. The religion Islam was revealed for eternity not for the 7th century only.

I speak of myself, only after going through almost 4 pages (A4 size) of Tafheem ul Quran by Moulana Moudoodi, i could get an idea about what exactly Allah ST said in small surah "Al Asar".Today itself Ulemas are trying to figure out the meanings of alif, laam, meem and no one is able to tell for sure what is the hidden wisdom behind these kind of words, only Allah ST knows.

How about using our wisdom, in our health matters; no it is matter of life and death; we have to go to the best sepecialist.

We are very careful in the matter of this temporary word but in Deen most of us want to use our wisdom.
If our creator has forbidden Sood, we have bring conviction in our heart that it is not good for me and the society; Whether I understand it or not.
May Allah guide us all and keep us on the straight path.

Please get yourselves informed also about how much gross profit is being earned by these so called Islamic banks from customer's deposits. These banks are paying very little percentage ratio to its customers from gross profits. They have made billions from these innocent customers. But the poor customer is happy that it is earning halal. Pitty on us.
