Dear Zero **You should look at it this way>>>>>
** if people from outside come here to study then they pay in dollars .. and if they are local and becoming doctors here and go out they send dollars from outside (like philippin export many nurses outside india sends IT professionals to make money)
**People come from outside for treatment then they are bring money and business(like china have set hospitals for forigners and make money) .. good for us good for local doctors and economy..
***Only Few bad people do smuggling for profit and yet we elect them .. rem our Agricultral country should have enough for us and for legal export .. (helping our poor people)
So don't be sad there is always good and bad in one thing .. we just have to do our part ..

Yes I second Junaid we should make more professional and export them, Thanks God Pakistani education in Professional sector is still very good, An average Doctor and Engineer Fits in any system of world just after few months orientation.
On the other hand we dont need all these professional in pakistan most of them waste time in Paying utility bills and Picking and dropping their Children to svae pennies, where as their services are well paid abroad, On the other hand there are certain professonal who have to stay in pakistan due to some reason. Look at most of Engineers in Govt sectot, Thier Job is mostly that which is done by clerks or Public relation staff.

Let me put the facts Jameel.None of our universities appear in top 400 universities of the world.Standard of education in our professional institutions is pathetic,how students unions have polluted the campuses is known to everyone.There is hardly any research work going on in our engineering or medical colleges.Our professionals are not exposed to latest technological advancements happenibg in the world.Mechatronics, an essential branch of engineering has been introduced to few of our engineering universities almost 2 years ago, whereas it is being taught in the world sice early 80's.West in not redy to recognise our degrees, considering them below par.Yes our professionals do find some place in the Gulf, that too in mediocre companies.Big multinational companies in Gulf too, prefer Western expats for high profile jobs.Talking about medical profession, no body knows our doctors unless the acquire fellowship from royal college of physicians, which offcourse everybody cannot afford.None of our state owned hospitals has got international accreditation (JCAHO).(Not to be taken as criticism, just putting the facts).

mr jameel and mr junaid

some iranian people studying (masters degree) abroad have told , that they have paid 2000$ to the iranian goverment for leaving the country after a master degree in science from an iranian uni..and they felt absolutely fine with paying this amount..because in their opinon the seat they have been studing on could have been used by a person who would benefit the country..those iranians were proud of their home country but it because they were not muslim and didnt had the freedom as nonmuslim...but still they were not against the rules concerning the education system...

the conclusion is that it is very costly for a county to produce academics in other words they are the cream who should stay in the country and serve the country ..the country which have given them the golden opportunity.

Dear Friend you are missing my point and giving example of nonmuslim iranian in muslim country where they have to pay 20000 just to use their basic right of freedom to chose ..
My point is that we should make education as business like other countries (india, russia, south america etc) are doing by educating people and send them to bring forign reserve ...
one doctor in pakistan makes only 20,000 Rs a month and spend most of it on him and hardly serve .. where as one doctor makes 15,000 dollars a month if he send back only 1000 dollars ..it will produce many more jobs here in pakistan for others and many more people will be able to become doctors ...
