** Payment of Stamp Duty **,

Dear CMY and all,

I purchased a plot in State Life PH-2 few months back and i transfered the file in my name and received the transfer letter. Now few weeks before i received a letter from state life and they are demanding another 16,000 as "Stamp Duty levied vide section-63(A)" which has to be paid to pujab govt. through state life office.

They are saying this is the Punjab Finance Act 2008.

Could you please put some light on that matter.
