Cabinet Division Housing Society E-16/17,

I visited this society three months back. Since then there is lot of progress has been done. Asim do you know if main entrance gate has been completed or it's still under construction? My advise to peoples who wants to build future home is E17 not E16. E17 is close to dam and little away from main Peshawar GT road. Price of E16 is little higher than E17 because people in Pakistan love places near to busy roads. I don't know why?
Three months back price of E16 was around 13 lacs for one canal (500sq) and E17 was around 12 lacs.
Can someone from Islamabad sheds some light on current price for one canal plot in E16/17 please.

I think the prices are about the same or slightly lower at the moment compared to 3 months ago.

yes thats right that prices came down due to financial crises but now it seems like gaining again due to development of the sector. No sir main gate is still under construction. balloting of the remaining files is due in december or january. posession is due for only developed plots after 6 to 7 months time according to managment. i have managed to secure a plot for myself yesterday :) i will update you guys whenever i visit this sector again in future. this sector is much better than B-17 because of the location and also CDA has announced to extend margalla road and connect it directly with G-T road near the main gate of E-16 sector. prices can go very high due to the new development of cda. please visit CDA website for see the news update.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the extension of Khayaban-e-

Iqbal (Margalla Road) up to GT Road.

Sources in the CDA told ‘The News’ that the land acquisition and detailed designing of the road would start shortly. “The CDA chairman has directed speedy completion of land acquisition and designing process to start the construction work at the earliest,” he said.

The existing Khayaban-

e-Iqbal, which starts from

sector F-5 ends at sector F-11 and its length is about 12 kilometres.

“We will construct seven-kilometre long strip beyond the existing road with four lanes on both sides,” he said.

With the completion of this project, the light traffic coming from other cities would enter Islamabad directly from Khyaban-e-Iqbal.

The last management of CDA not only dualised Khayaban-e-Iqbal, but also extended it from sector F-10 to F-11. The Khayaban-e-Iqbal was also linked with Constitution Avenue to create a new route to Pak Secretariat and other government buildings on the avenue.

A CDA official said a plan was also under consideration to make the new portion of Margalla Road, as signal free by providing grade separation facilities.


so the people who are more focusing on B-17 sector are actually wrong. E-16/17 is on the Best location according to the new CDA development of extension of margalla road.

i have bought a kanal file from a widow who's husband was employee of cabinet division. with the transfer fee of 13,800/ and 10 thousand cvt and with all dues development charges it will cost me 17,30000/- and it will convert to a plot after ballot in one or two months. plot prices righ now are over 14 to 16 lac without 4,63,000/- development charges. depending on main double road or normal street plot location.
