Dear Sir,
Would like to appreciate what one journalist did in Iraq on a farewell to President Bush. May Allah bless him more with honor and bravery.
As per the recent news one Arab citizen has placed a very high bid for buying the shoe thrown at American president.
I wish every Muslim community and country should collect money and participate in the bid. A grand auction of shoe thrown at President Bush would certainly represent the voice of Muslims all over the world.
WE can at least do this. I am ready to give/donate 50,000. Rs for this cause if any one/group of people take initiative to do this.

May ALLAH give more strength to Muslims.

Regards
Usman Rawalpindi

He threw the shoe and became hero, what about those who are giving tough resistance to americans in iraq and afghanistan (now we should also add that who are giving tough resistence to pak forces in our northern belt), why no one comes forward any acknowledges their role.Usman don't take me wrong, instead of overreacting, better try to adopt ways that our religion has outlined in order to become a strong Muslim.

I am really disappoint when i see narrow thinking of my muslim brothers and sisters, we now named this shoe as "Voice of Muslim".....Ohhh mannn...open your hearts and minds........the organizations in USA are about to gather in front of white house with hundred of shoes in their bags....THEY ALL ARE NOT MUSLIMS OHHH MUSLIMS....

I wonder when we will be awaken from this narrow mindness, we have already suffered to name our atomic bomb as BOMB OF ISLAM....

Bush the only president in the history who has taken a unique fairwell. He should kill himself for receving such an insult.

Salute to Iraqi people. They are an alive nation.

Abrar, Russia did'nt enter Afghanistan with an intent to stay there only. Its a locked land and occupying the opium fields was never his goal.World knows his ultimate goal was to reach hot waters, the easiest approach to which was through Pakistan only. That time defeat of Russia in Afghanistan was a life and death situation for Pakistan. Gen. Zia, Gen.Akhtar Abdul Rehman, Gen. Hameed Gul were among those matchless military geniuses who realized the imminent threat and launched a coveted war that led to the disintegration of Russia. Saying that Russia would have never invaded Pakistan knowing that Pakistan has nuclear capability sounds pretty immature analysis. We are a declared nuclear power today, yet every second day an American drone simply enters our territory, kills our people and goes away safely. Afghanistan does’nt mind saying that it may also target the terrorists inside Pakistan’s territory if needed and we remain silent. Indian Air Force planes enter our territory and we save our face by simply saying, it was due to a technical fault. It has always been Pak Army and ISI that has delivered in real sense.

arsu,
Reaching warm waters was a dream of Russian empire in the last century. This propaganda tool among others was successfully employed to mobilize Pakistani nation for Afghan Jihad. We will use this same Russian fear if we need to rally people against that nation again.

As far as our generals are concerned, they did what they were told to do. These generals only managed training camps, provided logistic support and channeled funds given by USA, Europeans and Islamic world to Mujahadeen. Afghan Jihad was a classical guerilla war where you only hit and run. No pitch battle was fought. Russian troops were not uprooted province by province. No general led the army in a grand battle. Most of the time targets were moving Russian troops and their supply lines on the ground and helicopters and planes in the air. The real heroes are those unsung Mujahadeens who carried out operation in the field and their commanders who led them personally behind enemy lines.

Let me ask you why these military genius and for that matter any other genius failed to push India out of Kashmir. In fact, we lost Siachen under one of those geniuses.
Our covert operations in Kashmir did not break India in different parts in the last 60 years yet we consider ourselves heroes for breaking Soviet Union. We believe in that because we like to hear that.

The reason of Soviet Union breakup was their internal.

We are being harassed by USA with drone attacks and other threats because internally we are vulnerable and weak. India is also aware of this weakness. Despite having nuclear weapons, we are not a mature nation. We still look at others to come and solve our own problems.

Dear Mr. arsu,I agree with the first 0art of your comments but towards the endline you have concluded that "it has always been Pak Army and ISI that has delivered in real sense" If Iam not wrong, it was General Musharaf's rule in the country when American Drones started violating the teritorial borders of Pakistan, It was not the democratic rule in the country, question is why the Pakistan Army failed to deliver, when they had all the power in the world to sack the Cheif justice, issue NROs, sell the Pakistani citizens to Bush Administration, why did they fail to shoot down the drones? COSE their commander in chief was shitting in the pents?

arsu replied on Thursday, December 18, 2008 07:32 AM

Abrar, that's a known fact it was a gureilla war but to fight a war you desperately need to have sound planing, provision of logistic support and prompt traing of the mujahideen, as you have pointed out yourself. And these Generals proved that time their true caliber. But i am surprised to read how come you expect any of these Generals to lead an army for a grand battle with Russia on Afghan territory. It was a battle between X and Y, why would and under which law our forces would intrude in Afghan territory and start fighting with Russia. Russia never touched us, but same time we wanted Russia to be defeated as surely we would have been the next prey for a victorious Russia.
Azher, we are under a world order, bring into power anyone you like, no one can stop it.Yes these can be stopped only after we bring certain fundamental changes in ourselves, our set up, our society, and our policies.
