TRAINING CAMP FOR LDDB FIELD STAFF
Syed Hassan Raza, Project Director Dairy Development Program, Livestock and Dairy Development Board, Islamabad, informed that his organization is arranging two-days Training Camp for FOMs and PTMs of Sindh and Balochistan from January 13 to 14, 2009 at Animal Production Department, Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam.
Highlights of camp are;
i) Hygiene Milk production, storage and transportation.
ii) Milk Quality Tests.
iii) Determination of adulterants in milk. On second day session will be held in regional office Hyderabad. In this session, field staff would be trained to cater the needs of progressive farmers and quality breeders in Sindh and Balochistan. The staff would be equipped with the latest techniques to enhance the animal productivity and farm income using the latest husbandry and Managemental Practices.
The Progeny Testing Consultant would refresh the knowledge of PTMs and discuss new techniques to be implemented for field data collection, handling and its analysis in Progeny Testing Program for Kundhi buffaloes and Red Sindhi Cattle. He will also discuss the different strategies to be used for effective execution of Progeny Testing Program.

This is very good news indeed. There is a big potential in Dairy field in rural or remote areas. This is a right path to eradicate the poverty. The project will be successful ONLY if private and govt parties work together. Govt alone cannot achieve all the objectives We need very very aggressive approach on this field so common people can take an advance from this progress. |
