Although some such incidents are real, I believe some are organized, directly or indirectly, by certain agencies to divide us against each other, and to stimulate many of us to own the west's war.

West's war, because we have been living for centuries without any war with such traits.

West's war, against militants/terrorists mainly empowered by west's own past policies and mainly provoked by west's present policies.

Please see the market conditions in Islambad or Lahore or Karachi in the most modern areas, one thinks for a while that this poster is needed mostly in those areas. Please consider for a while, if women do not go to market for shopping, what will happen? Nothing....

As women living in such modern areas belong to rich families who can afford to send their relatives (husbands, brothers and sons etc) to the shops with the list of things to be bought, so why must they go out?

I second A Pakistani, he is 500% right.

Naveed Bahi,

You cannot blame your own problems to west. These people are ignorant and illiterate and do not have enough knowledge even for Islam. I can quote you thousand references in my favor. You can ONLY eliminate these so called Mullahs with education and eradicating the poverty. The problem is that world cannot support their so called Jihadi mentally because we are in 2009 not in 1995. The real breading of FATA Mullahs started in Zia’s regime because US wanted to win the WAR from USSR. US generals were preaching holy war lessons in Afghanistan with the help of Pakistan. Now this Cancer has spread deep rooted in the NWFP society.

In my opinion you can ONLY win if you go into their level and work with them. God forbid you cannot change their mentally within months. These changes may take some time (years) but we need a strong planning and strategy to win their hearts and bring them back to main stream

A Pakistani and Hassan Malik,

On your next update please please do not tell me that women dont need to go schools/colleges.
By the way Swat Mullahs have already declared FATWA against women' education.

Naveed Yaseen replied on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 04:02 AM

Women must have right to go out because they are as human as men are.

I know and understand what 'arguments' will be presented to reply this, please don't waste your time.

Hassan Malik replied on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 04:12 AM

Bro I am my self a student know how important an Education is to both men and women but this topic is not about that it is about the derailment of our society onto the path of sin, on which the western world is on. Correct me if wrong but a women has the power to build and home and also to destroy it. If only women (who think they are Liberal) understood there role in society. Walking around in such cloths and engaging in activities with non Mehram men. This I think lowers the morality and the image of women more in our society then not letting them out of the house unattended. There is a balance for everything, in Islam I think if we only keep a balance on everything we do, everything comes to its place and there is no need for such discussions :).

I mean no offense to any one with this reply, its just my view.

I agree with Mr Naveed Yaseen.
Army is there for the last almost 1 year. Now it becomes routine so no news channel is covering swat like they were doing 6 months back.
Before daily main news was “AAJ SHIDAT PASANDO KE THIKANO PAR SHADEED GOLA BARI KI GYEE” but the outcome was nothing. Every SHIDAT PASAND is there except the poor people who are suffering.

Since the day one locals are saying that “WE ARE FED UP WITH BANDOOQ WALON SE, EITHER WITH BEARED OR WITHOUT”.
I have seen the interviews (2 years back and even last week) of the locals, saying the same.

FROM 15 JANUARY 2009, CO-EDUCATUION WILL BE BANNED IN SWAT.
THE SON OF MUSLIM KHAN (Spokesman of Swat extremists) is studying PHARMACY in Peshawar University.

ALLAH HAMAREY HAAL PAR RAHAM KARE.

For a Muslim "Rights and Wrongs" are defined by Islam and not by our own brains, which are developed by the feed provided by our Western Education system and MEDIA. The Bazaars and Markets are the worst places and Masajid are the best places on Earth as announed by Rasul Allah (peace be upon him). It is Mandatory for Muslim Adults to perform the prayers in Masajid and not home, and for Muslim Women prayers in their homes is much more preferable than praying in Masajid. This short description can tell all what is the benefit of staying home than compared to wandering without hijab in markets from one shop to another bargaining and fighting with shopkeepers on petty things.

As far as the education is concerned, it the responsibility of Islamic state to provide good Islamic education to all (Men Women children). Now keeping in view the modern day FITNAS the head of a Family must arrange education for their women at home. Now internet and distant learning is getting more and more popular. One must educate their children Islamic education first and then Worldly education.

And as Mr. Hamid has mentioned, we must not leave our Pakistani brothers alone during this time and work with them and not to fight them. We can craft a way in between by making use of their beliefs.

A Pakistani, what you have said is absolutely right and these are the divinely teachings of Islam that each and every muslim is supposed to abide by.

Kashif replied on Friday, January 16, 2009 06:47 AM

Dear all

All of you have a valid view point - I just want to add that our current society is no worst than the time when our Prophet Mohammad (PBHM) was born - but based on my little knowledge, I don't think he (PBUM) ever used such technique to correct things - instead he (PBUM) helped the people see what is right and wrong and differentiate these. Then ppl converted to Islamic principles. Coming back to what is happening in Swat, etc - I think at best it is an act of ignorance which can only lead to more hatered against islam - at worst, this is definitly the conspiracy of our enemies who are using Islam's cover to create problems in our society.

Just my view - Regards.

In my opinion

1.If this poster is displayed by some agencies, and is not in compliance with tahreeh e taliban's agenda, then it can't stay there any longer and wiil be up rooted as soon as they come to know about it.

2.If it is displayed by tahreek e taliban, then every body knows they have got a particulat mindset, and its a message for the people how they are supposed to move around in that area.

Now saying that it is an act to divide us is simply ridiculous, instead if it is done by someone other than taliban then in a way they have served taliban's interest.Everyone who has got a bit of sense is pretty clear about taliban's mindset and if it has come from their side should not be unusual to anyone.

Kashif, I totally agree with you. The beauty of Islam is Tolerance and Patience. If Islam spread by force then Sub-continent population could be closed to 2 billions and religion matters would be a joke for those new Muslims. If you look at history of sub-continent then you will notice that Islam flourish by sufiasm. The prime example is Ajmar Sharif, everyday there are more non-Muslims people visit the site than Muslims.

5% Fata Mullahs cannot hijack the whole society and impose their own version of Islam on majority. Nobody has a right to impose their ideology to other on the name of Islam. Enough is enough, please please come out of the closet and condemn them their actions from your heart.

........................
When taliban were not frmed completely and there were groups of Afghan jehad Mujahidins in different parts of Afghanistan then that time a group from Ahle Hadith(in Pakistan they were known as Wahabis, before)had established a system for the teaching of muslim women/girls. They (at that very poor time)provided the all listening devices at all the homes so that the muslim women/girls should not come out of their homes.
They were around when they were masacared in the Wahabis mosques. whereas women were raped before killing.
What was the CRIME of them? Very interesting to know that they were WAHABI,s not Muslims, as claimed by the killing group, who are now very powerful in Pakistan relegiously.
Then war moved into Pakistan and two countries continue to fight their religious war in Pakistan for many many years and Pakistanis were unable to stop it. Many ulemas were killed for both sides then that time this extremist taliban started showing there horrible ugly face to the Pakistani nation.
Why, because we are not given the all good enough information and training about our beloved system i.e. ISLAM.
Now its more than 60years for Pakistan, Thousands of Mosques many hundereds of thousands of Mullas and scholars.
If u take 30 minutes for one JUMA khutba then 30 min X 52(jumas in 1 yr) X 60 years, imagine how much time at one mosque mullah has wasted, what about in total for whole Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh(other countries muslims are also onvolved in Pakistan now a days).
Solution:
Never to be dependant on Mullahs and scholars for any information and training, start it now by your own.
every thing available Koran with translation, hadith books with translations......etc
if u do,nt understand go to any muslim scholars(not only deobandi, brailvi, ahl -e- hadith, shia) and have openion as per "Koran -o- Sunnah, not as per so called fiqah. One day u should have enough wise approach to differenciate between right & wrong. by the way when u can dig the grave for your father why do,ny u give him bath by your owh why u wait for the mullah to come and do it for u!!!
it we who given all this control into these mullahs hands and now crying. Come forward step out and start the process of information and training both for u and your family members.
best Regards, Thanks.
