Burial, Inheritance,

What is the cheapest fare/route/airline from Pakistan (Karachi, Islamabad or Peshawar) to Houston, USA? What is the cost of transporting a deceased person from USA to Pakistan? What are the average/normal funeral expenses in USA?

My friend's brother has passed away in Houston. He is the next of kin and beneficiary of his brother's will, insurance, etc. He wants to go to Houston to arrange either the funeral or to send the remains of his deceased brother back to Pakistan. Then he wants to sell the property and other assets in Houston and in Canada. His brother was a Canadian citizen. He was refused the Canadian visa even tough he provided documents like the will (registered in Canada), death certificate, his brother's passport copy, US social security number, letter from his brother's work place in Houston certifying all this.

What are his options now, to claim his inheritance?

Urgently seek advise/guidance. Thank you.

As per standing instructions of the Government of Pakistan, PIA is duty bound to carry the dead bodies of Pakistani citizens from abroad to Pakistan free of charge. So you can contact the nearest PIA office/ Pakistan Embassy or Consulate.
