LDA has warned to lower ramps in residential areas also. Ramp is not
causing any encroachment on the service road. Houses were built 10
years ago. If I lower the
ramp, it will not remain in line with the height of the house. House
was built
somewhat at upper level to avoid rainy water entering the house. When
this question
was put to LDA, they did not have any answer to it. Ramp is located on
the space
adjacent to service road left for electric poles etc. It is not
pedestrian walkway.
I believe it is an implementation fault by LDA. By lowering it, how I
will be able to
get my car in and out of my car porch. Any ideas on it ? solution replied on Saturday, January 24, 2009 09:41 AM
The sense in Pakistan to raise level of house is because it is easy to throw all waste water and trash in street. Higher ramp is the most stupid idea. First of all it has no advantage but it does mak a house look ugly. The person who have street level house suffer and the guy with higher level don't care and in some cases the people who have constructed houses at higher levels think other were stupid and some times they laugh on those people who constructed houses at lower levels. What they don't know is raising level of house is against the stipulated regulations but in Pakistan no one care. mr. Khawaja you can make an agreement with LDA that you will pay the expenses of cleaning of all those houses which are at lowere level and also you will be constructing new street every year. |

Mr. Solution, your comments in relation to ramp problems are quite interesting but devoid of prevailing logic while the level of the streets and roads running in different cities and towns are being raised, that leads to lowering the level of houses on the street and roads, cosequently the rain or the flood water runs into the houses that have a lower level than that of the raised level of the road. Would you suggest that the house owners should install a pump to drain out water in the house to get rid of the water enetering in the house due to lower ramp level? |

just dig and lower the level of your car porch, it will bring your ramp down. |
