We Pakistanis get a lot of bad rap in western media and given our economic and political conditions, we get discouraged when we see our surroundings. My position is more on the optimistic side. I see a lot of great acts of kindness when I am in Pakistan.
My father in law tells is if that if you can wake up and say to yourself that you will have a tough or a bad day, you are guaranteed to encounter a tough or a bad day. And if you wake up saying to yourself that you will fun day or will try to do one good deed, and ask/encourage someone else to do the same, you will have a pleasant day. |
