I have attempted to attach some useful photos and active material, for the friends, who are making their houses and, like me, do not have enough expertise to do the stuff expertly and need assistance from someone, other than their contractors.
You would find kitchen, baths and other photos, color schemes, granite/tile info, good websites for further browsing and siding tiles/stones etc, etc.
File is still growing but has enough stuff, for pondering upon.

I hope the file gets loaded successfully!

The post link currently supports uploading graphics format files only. If it's PDF or other non-graphics format please send it at lahorerealestate@gmail.com and we would make it available for download.

Brothers,

You can use this freeware:

http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator/download

to convert anything to PDF foramat. You can also merge all pictures/documents in one PDF file. I have been using this a lot and it works great. Basically once installed you will have a printer called PDFCreator. If you print any document to that it will convert to PDF.

Hope this helps

Dear M Yousaf,

Are these pictures taken in Pakistan? In other words are the materials used in these pictures available in Pakistan? So often we see content that is siply not available back home. If so, can you share your own experience and recommend a place where these high end material can be bought.

Thank you

Brother Yousaf

Thanks for the post. Can you please post an account of the actual stages of the house construction you went through and point out the key things in your opinion. An estimate of costs incurred and costs saved would be a great thing.

Brothers,

Regarding the material availability, everything is available in Pakistan.
The “Kitchen Care “guys in Islamabad, will make your dreams come true as they can manage everything but will cost you fortune (at least 3.5 lacs per a normal size kitchen (10*12Ft) with teak wood and all but to me giving this much money to them is ridicules.
With a little effort here and there, you can save a lot by doing it yourself. The most difficult part is the “color scheme” of baths and kitchen tile, contrasting to each other (walls and floor) and here you have to work very hard. I will post some more in two weeks time, regarding color schemes.
Good Porcelain tiles may not be available in Rawalpindi/Islamabad but they are available in Karachi. Very good quality thick and strong and beautiful, made in China and in Italy.
Regarding cost thing, the “analysis part” is very hard and almost impossible, as other are taking care of my house, but I can sure post the actual expenses ONCE I am fully done.
I can post all the expenses, itemized against things bought, but the way the prices are fluctuating, I do not know whether or not it would prove as helpful!
Since this is personal, I can send through mail addresses only. I already have a good cliental regarding this, as my Inbox is choking up with messages, keeping coming from the silent and shy readers of this place and that is the exact and ONLY reason, I am so dutiful in posting of all this stuff here.
