A question came up when I was going to this 8 marla plot in DHA VALLEY.
How does the transfer works?
I am told that file will not be transferred on my name until 6 installments. Which means 18 months.
But I will be given the letter and a written stamp paper that this is my plot.
In DHAI files it will stay on seller's name for next 18 months and only then I will be able to transfer it on my name.
And these files can be opened for 3 months every 6 months so that selling and purchasing can take place.
And honestly I was not able to understand it completely.
Anyone here can help me understand this if some one knows please?

After signing file opening papers the file will open.Owner (PURCHASER) can transfer this file in his own name or anyone else after 6th . It is safe don't worry. |

Thank you Mian Nadeem Sahib. Does that mean people can keep on selling and purchasing the file without changing the original buyer's name on papers?
What happens if original buyer sells it to someone else after selling it to me?
Thats why I am afraid and trying to understand how does that work?
Once I understand I hope I will be confident to buy this file.

DHA will issue an allotment Certificate showing Plot size. Owner's name will not mentioned on it.Holder of this Certificate will be the owner.File Opening Fee For 5 Marla is 1500 and 7 Marla 2500 or 3000 usually paid by the seller. Selling plot to multiple purchasers is not possible because seller sign documents in front of Camera in DHA office while opening the file. For ur own satisfaction U may prefer to purchase plot from seller who process the file opening in your presence. If u are purchasing already open file don't forget to verify from DHA. |

Hi,
I have a plot in DHA valley and want to sale it. Its 08 Marla. Ballott results indicate that it will be considered for next ballot. I am in Canada and can authorise someone in Pakistan to sale it. I need the procedure and all the documents that needed for sale of plot. All instalments are paid.
