Leaguer replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 03:37 AM

Mian sb wishfully claims that Pakistan cant survive with out him, his brother, his sons and bathejas, and his son in law.I want to ask Mian sb, if you burn every thing in Pakistan , whom and what are you and your family is going to rule !! burnt ashes of Pakistan

Mazhar replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 03:46 AM

This is long due.
Pakistan needs to get rid of Buttos and Mian's families.
Lets bring some fresh and educated minds like Imran Khan or Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Waqar Latif replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 03:52 AM

@Mazhar

& who is going to do that?

I think for the change we should give chance to IK (the only one left who we haven't tested yet) apart from what i think, he only went for fame and haven't done anything after registring the case against MQM?

Hamid,Toronto replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 04:11 AM

There is no doubt that we need to get rid of these political gifted families. Near future I am not seeing any "Khoni Inkalaab" in Pakistan. The only way you can get rid of these so called power hungry politicians if you stay on democracy path. Mr. Zardari made a big blunder to disqualify Sharif brothers. I would say he cut his own feet.
We are politically immature nation but we can only survive if we stay on democracy path. Imagine political parties are talking about democracy, judiciary, and human rights etc but on the other hand most of political parties do not follow the democracy in their own parties. I would mention some party one at a time

PML (N) no democracy inside the party.
PPP no democracy inside the party
ANP no democracy inside the party.

Only two or three parties have democracy inside the party.
For example, Jamat Islami and MQM

Waqar Latif replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 04:34 AM

There is democracy in MQM :o, now that's a news for me..

btw PML (Q) & PTI also have democracy inside the party.

Observer replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 12:39 PM

Imran Khan is the only hope.

Eureka replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 02:24 PM

Oh, you are advocating the ex-play boy of not too distant a past? You think he will be the savior? No sir, he excels in agitational politics only, like Sharifs.

Observer replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 04:11 PM

The same play boy of past has won us a world cup, built a free cancer hospoital for poor, has clear policy on national affairs. Put a hand on your heart and look back at your past and I am sure there would be plenty you dont even want to think about. So please stop acting like a moral policeman.

Would you deny if Bhutto used to drink alcohol or if Sharif's have defualted on public loans.

Kashif replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 06:22 PM

Dear all

Firstly, no prophet will be sent now to this nation, so we have to deal with 'human' leaders who are full of mistakes. Second, accept it or not, the whole nation is full of evils and lacks the basic values even (with the exception of few)...so how can our leaders be free from these evils? as they have to reflect the overall nature of this nation after all...

Now if we compare all the current politicians, even though their pasts have not be so great, we can still find out those who are better than others...For example, it might be an easy way for Nawaz Sharif to ride the boat of Zardari with 12 federal ministers and full punjab govt (just like MQM or ANP)...and enjoy 5 years in peace...why did he take a difficult journey which is full of troubles? Just for Judiciary and I believe that he is honest on this front at least. Although this does not wash him out from all of his previous mistakes but as I said we wont get any angel so within the available lot, I think Nawaz and Imran Khan are the best, at least they know what common people think....

So unless we get our own version of Mr. Obama (which needs major changes in our society), we have to live with the curren leaders and Nawaz and Imran are slightly better than the rest.

Just my opinion and I respect you if you have a different opinion.

Kashif

How do you know Imran Khan does not have the ability to lead and govern ??? Why not give the man a chance rather than looking into a broken crystal ball.

Hamid,Toronto replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 08:19 PM

Kashif G,

First of all, this is not a political forum but we cannot do our business without political stability.
I do respect your views but the problem is our politicians including PML(n) and PPP are NOT learning from their past mistakes.

Let’s talk about just Nawaz only.

- This is a harsh reality that you cannot survive in Pak politics if you bluntly or without thinking speak against the army. He is doing that.
- Before the governor’s rule, he was nominating Kulsoom Nawaz on CM post. I cannot find out any logical reason for that. By the way, Pakistan is not Sharifs family own territory. There is no doubt that there are a lot of good people in his party. In present provincial and NA assemblies, his family has a long list of MNA or MPAs and don’t find out any logical reason for that as well.
- He still has billions of dollars investment in foreign countries. Lately he sold steel mill in Suadia Arabia. Why not he brings back these investments to Pakistan.
- This is written on wall that he is not an intelligent politician. He has to give up some high protein foods.
- Lately he was telling the people to start “ Civil Nafirmani Tereek”. So he is leading us toward civil war (nozabilla)

There are no doubts about his stern stand for Judiciary but at this moment I don’t to discuss this issue on this forum.

Hope you respect other people views as well.

Amjad replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 09:37 PM

Hamid, i agree with you, Pehlwan of Lahore has no brain ,he believes in conflict politics. He always claim that he is true Pakistani but where are his billions of dollars? why he does not want to bring back this investment to Pakistan which our country badly needs now.His accountability bureau disqualified BENAZIR and Zardari for 21 years from politics. What his party had done with Supream court of Sajjaad Ali Shah, etc, disqualified the Sind government and appointed his own party governor Ghous ali shah.etc, etc,and now he wants to start civilnafarmani. What kind of politician is he!

asim replied on Saturday, February 28, 2009 11:28 PM

Amjad butt stop this brain washing. Talk about Now!

yessss replied on Sunday, March 1, 2009 01:10 AM

Any politician who is a billionaire is a crook.
PURE AND SIMPLE REALITY.

Let's get rid of the billionaire politicians !!! I don't care what their names are and I do not care what party they are from. They are corrupt and cannot be trusted !!!

Eureka replied on Sunday, March 1, 2009 06:40 AM

Observer, I did not pass any moral judgement on Imran. On the contrary, I know that moral aberrations are entwined with sucess ( drinking, womanizing etc).I commented on Imran's ability to lead; he lacks foresight, wisdom, requisite vista of vision, and influencing ability. The Shaukat Khanum Hospital came up because of his passion or compassion, and luck contributed a lot in the world cup sucess. Well, passion, compassion, luck and charisma are only a few attributes of an effective leader. He sadly lacks these.
Yes when I put my hand on my heart,I realize:
'Dariya e muasi tunak aabi say hua khusk,
Mera sar e damaaN bhi tar na hua tha.

BRN replied on Monday, March 2, 2009 02:21 AM

so who will lead us, zardari or nawaz.... yaar if we talk about imran, you people always discourage him, I don't understand why!!!!! What your problem? Do your leaders (Nawaz and Zardari) have passion, compassion, or charisma.......just answer me, do they have...

If not then who will lead this country....Choudhary ShauJaat..... please brother before commenting any thing just think about a personal in general, don't you know your president even drink....he involve in activities like musharaf was. I don't understand why you just portray a wrong impression of Imran, from his past. He was so bad, but now just see what he did for this country. Just go and collect donations for any hospital, nani yaad ajaye gi........batain karna ati hai bus sab ko....

Actually, we pakistanis don't deserve a devoted leader. I feel so shame that people like zardari is my president. We are really a 3rd class country. No vision for future, no planning, just getting laons from IMF to pay back the other loan, what a nonsense society. Shame on all of you.... you don't deserve a leader like imran. kuch tu sharam karoo bhai.....

All who oppose Imran are so called old-stuff bunch or idiots. They believe Nawaz and Bhutto as a prophet. This is what we called an illiterate educated society. Look at India, where are they now. They invest money on their education from 1970s and you will found Indian in any of world class institute/school. But, what we did, we invest to produce a slot of BA's graduated just to control then country.. It's just coz of your old hypocrite mentality...please change it please .......otherwise we will be like any african country...............please change this mentality.

Eureka replied on Monday, March 2, 2009 04:52 AM

Yes BRN,you want to express your reality, no matter how impetuously, crudely, or impuslively. But remember that is your cognition only which is quite different from reality.

BRN replied on Monday, March 2, 2009 07:06 AM

Mr. Eureka, what's the reality? please visit www.insaf.pk and see what people of Pakistan wants. Bhai, new generation wants change. If you don't have courage to stand then just don't say anything. We don't need any kind of suggestions from our elders like you.
