I am unable to find any files at any rates in DHA today so I am unable update accurate rates.

There is buyer in market for DHA 9-10 at 14.65 Lacs
There is buyer in market for DHA 8 at 33.65 Lacs

Dealers have withdrawn the files to take advantage of the pervailing optimism by the people of Pakistan. Forgetting that the current events have impacted the emotions and the feelings and not the pockets, also foregetting that international economic scenario and the global trend in the property market still remains unchanged. Pakistan 's property market can not go on in isolation. Investors today have many choices; including buying of houses in USA and UK at less than one third of the orignal price.

Any overvaluation in these files created by shortage of supply is temporary and bound to be shortlived. The prices will stablise soon and come back to the orignal in one week max two weeks. Myopic thinking that DHA is the only investment in this world !

In April 2009, you will find many DHA files for sale in the market. Because due to word economic crisis, sponsors in the Gulf countries are sending back their employees to their respective countries for a certain period (from 1 year to 2 years) after completion of children exam in March 2009.

Thanks for realistic views Mr. Ashar.
Real Estate as a business/investment specially in DHA has lost its charm as the development is at halt and other societies around EME onwards are now more attractive.
Alternatively, the profits are higher and immediate n the Capital market. Therefore, not much expected from DHA files investment.For genuine buyers aged under 40 years with the intention to build a house for their own living , it is worth holding on to phase 8 or 9/10 files in DHA. About the BroadWAY, if the Broadways and the shopping malls in DUBAI are deserted, due to shrinking pockets of the consumers, who will shop at Broadway with the given pessimistic economic indicators of Pakistan.
