Shariah in Swat,

(52459)
Monday, April 13, 2009 03:42 PM

Today National Assembly passed a resolution (MQM abstained from voting) that will pave the path for implementation of Shariah in Malakand Division. I declare it as a first drop of rain and pray we adopt Shariah in whole of this country soon. The country whose existence and famous “two nation theory’ can only and only be justified by implementing true Shariah across the country. Congratulations to the people of Malakand.

Who will be the PM or cheif Qazi of this flawed sharia regime? Baitullah Mehsud!
Why don't we understand that it is not coincidence that all the troubles starting at same time! It is all American sponsored sharia which has nothing to do with implementation of Islam or its teachings.
It is about implementing midevil culture or pre-Islamic time.

Amir replied on Monday, April 13, 2009 05:18 PM

A very good news. If Sharia implemented in our country, nothing like it. To my friend, Baitullah Mehsud belongs to Waziristan, he has nothing to do in Sawat.

Now our PPP govt. seems to talk in tough tone to US, which indicates we are going to take our own decisions. No more dictation.

Read the book, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man and watch the documentary movie “ Zeitgest” to discern how Americans maneuver the conditions in third world countries to their own advantage.

Shariah, This is a totally bullshit and will only take us to stone age,it has failed in all muslims countries who have adoped to suit their rulers only and can not even fight with a smallest country in the world (Israel).Nothing will happen to a common man and its problems except it talks about Beards, burqas, women and SEXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Democracy replied on Monday, April 13, 2009 07:18 PM

Did people of Pakistan or Sawat voted for this or only few gunman are dictating their law over majority?

EHM replied on Monday, April 13, 2009 07:26 PM

If you remember Americans wanted us to be in Stone Age just after the incident of 9/11. They could not do it then in 2001. Now, they want us to go to stone age very convincingly through implementation of Shariah. This is the most convenient way to get rid of Pakistan and its strategic assets.

Sultan Tipu replied on Monday, April 13, 2009 09:12 PM

Yes!It is huge test for muslims.
May Allah give taufeeq to people incharge of this to implement Sharia in its true form so that we can show it as an example.Otherwise it will give yet another opportunity to "enlightened moderates" to undermine Sharia and Islam.

Allah ki shaan daikhiyai!

Qadianiun ko kafir qarar dainai sai Sharia tak, yeh "A'zaz" PPP kai hisai mein kunkar aya?

In my opinion, criticizing sharia means criticizing Islam, however we need to evalute SWAT SHARIA carefully. If we just want to implement sharia to punish people for their 'sins' in a society where to get your rights is impossible, then I think this is a wrong move. Although my knowledge of Islam is limited, but I am sure even our Prophet (PBUM) did not implement Islamic Penalties before He first changed the basic pattern of the society. At the moment, there is no justice, no balance of power, no definition of rights, etc - how this sharia in swat can help us? Unfortunately most of our Mullahs are 'captialist mullahs' and they just want to do this to secure their own positions and status....why dont they do Jihad against bribery, dowry, injustice and other social evils which cause most of the problems in our society?

@all shariah critics

1st of all shariah only implemented as a law rather then a system, so there would be no PM, or head, the head will be the same i.e. Parliment of Pakistan. Also, shariah was there in swat for 32 years in pakistan history, what happen back then, did they start fighting with each other or they manage to reach to stone age? they had every luxury of life back then, since there was no taxes. Any how, I don't why don't you guyz read the quran (i forgot the versus), in which Allah order us to follow Allah laws.

@Amir

nothing to do with your PPP, since it was send to Mr. Zardari, but he given up and sent the bill towards parliment (especially nawaz's party), also PPP backed this since there was fear of breaking up colliation with ANP. They are just power beggers.

@Others

Yes it will be v good if shariah get implemented throughout the country, but we all know this wont going to happen unless we change our democratic leadership. In Swat the shariah was implement since the situation was going out of control, & 2nd there is a agreement between wali of wadi-e-swat. & wali's son, and grand sons still has too much influence on the people.

Waqar Latif replied on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 03:30 AM

@Kashif

yes, Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) hasn't implemented laws before islam was complete but afterward all the khalifa did that, even when some of the arabs tribes said they will not give zakat, and everyone was no clue, Hazrat Abu Bakr Sadiq (R.A) didn't wait let me 1st gather them all on single platform then will think about those arab tribes, also he didn't stop the army which were going to fight. You point is baseless, since Islam is now complete. You have to follow each and every aspect of Islam. You can't say ok i will wear beard after start praying 5 times a day. Since both are compulsory, & you have to follow each & every aspect. Prayer is fraz, similarly beard is, similarly lower your gaze is, and Similarly the laws of Islam i.e. Shariah

@Sultan Tipu

PPP ne Qadioni ko Kaffir karar diya tah? kindly check the history, i am forgetting the name of the alim who actually did that. Also, if PPP wanted to do, then why your so called Zardari Bhutto didn't signed on the document and sent the ball towards parliment. Let me tell you he was scared of USA.

Someone above mentioned that Sharia law will take Pakistan to the stone age. I suggest Pakistan is already there.

Pakistan is a feudalistic country that permits honor killings. 80% of its population has the reading abilty of the stone age humans.

No modern forward thinking country could tolerate feudalism and illiteracy. No modern forward thinking country allows 80% of its population to be hungry everyday of the year and its children to receive extraordinary sub-standard medical care. Sharia Law fits in perfectly with Pakistan. Sadly, it will spread throughout the country because Pakistan refused to leave the stone age. The stone age in Pakistan provides a VERY COMFORTABLE life for the elite class and thus the stone age is here to stay.

Waqar Latif replied on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 11:43 AM

80% hungry :O i think you toke statistic in ramzan, even the country like india (having major share of the people who sleep hungry) don't have that big ratio. Also, for your information honor killing does happen in indian, bangladesh, srilanka, why to blame only pakistan? Yes pakistan is in stone age not because of these issues but since they are following their forean lord, who are incouraging more and more corruption into pakistan, while giving aid, and demanding.

yessss replied on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 12:25 PM

Pakistan is in the stone age because the elite class selfishly and foolishly thinks it is in their long-term best interest. Educate the masses and the delicious pie will have to be shared with 100% of Pakistanis, and not the elite 5% of Pakistanis. Educate the masses and no one is going to clean your toilet, drive your car, and bring you a glass of water for 3000 rs a month. Educate the masses and the plum jobs will become competetive based on intelligence and not based on who you know.

Don't blame a foreign power for Pakistan's feet being firmly locked in the stone age. When you are sitting comfortably in the back seat of your fancy car, look out the window and see Pakistan realistically.

@ Waqar

Dear Waqar, I am not an Islamic Scholar like you who can easily spot some one's point of view as 'baseless' but when you say 'Islam is complete now' this means what? The teachings, principles, messages - yes these are complete as our BELOVED PROPHET (PBUM) mentioned in HIS last address - what about implementation of Islam? Don't u think the muslims are slowly going back to the same old time i.e. violating the teachings of PROPHET (PBUM)...so I think the teachings need to be taught again - and for this the best way would be the same of PROPHET (PBUM) i.e. first spread Islam's teachings, work on the individuals and bring the society to the level where the real Islamic principles, laws can be implemented. Waqar, I really appreciate your thoughts and I think you are a better muslim than me, and I cant imagine to commit a sin of saying something against Islam - if I did (unintentionally), then may ALLAH forgive me. Regards.

@Kashif

I didn't point that, but just think, let suppose i tell you something about Islam anything, will that be new for you? Like prayer, zakat, hajj, ramzan, speaking politily, don't break promises, don't lie, respect your parents etc will that be new for you? My point is most of the people already know most of the things about islam, since they have passed through an education system (Parents & School) which always continue to telling us this is right this is wrong. We all are born muslims, do we need some more education on that? Yes, while implementing we might to spread some awareness of the laws, but it should be the process of implementation, rather then whole life only passes on awareness and later generation just stick on awareness and no implementation come forward. Also when we come to swat, they already are used to shariah, & the shariah laws were there for ages .

Regarding who is good muslim or who is not. Only Allah knows that.

Waqar Latif replied on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 06:06 AM

@kashif

what ever government potray is just to satisfy their forein lords. The basic reason (from the swat people) to implement shariah is not find the justice or enforce people to do right. But just to follow orders from Allah related to law of the state. Now you would say if it is that then why government implement shariah in swat why not through-out pakistan, well yes this was because of the pressure (TTP & many criminals of that areas had support from swat people just because they made issue Shariah, as main cause of spreading uncertainty). But there is no pressure from other pakistani "Muslims" related to that, since they think it is not farz or something.

Also shariah laws don't only talk about punishments, but also other issues like marriage, decadency, social relationship rights, agreements, oaths (this is one of the biggest issue in ruler area since they think since Pakistan is not an Islamic state so u can use it for false oaths), business relationships etc

Last shariah is not a new system, especially it is not for swat atleast.
