I want to invest around 3.5m rupees for a period of 5 years in property. Would appreciate if any brother could guide me

You should go for Bahria Town, 1K plot in any developed block. Besides this, NFC2 is a good option as it is undervalued right now. |

in this budget u can take two 10,10 marla plots in lda1.it is for three four years investment. |

try to buy a 1k plot in Tariq garden's developed area (I can't help you in that so don't contact me). & then forget it for 5 years. u might get 100s of good offer in that time but don't sell it (unless u need the money)
But i would say still best investment is saving centre rather then property. |
