Stop military operation !,

(52900)
Sunday, May 10, 2009 09:58 AM

Pak army should immediately stop the ongoing operation in Bunir and Sawat areas. This operation has been launched in haste, without any solid planing, purely on america's pressure.America never wanted the deal between Sufi Mohammad and govt. to be a success and was desperate to overturn it. Displacing millions of innocent people and putting them under open sky in sweltering heat without food and clean water, just to combat few thousands can never be termed as a wise strategy.What we need to do is to separate wheet from the chuff in these areas and a thorough strategy needs to be worked out for this purpose. We have plunged ourselves into a battle which has no end. If we think that its all about killing a few thousands and thus peace would be restored, we are completely mistaken.It is an extension of the same war that america and nato forces have been fighting since last 9 years with all their might but are forced to admit today that it can never be won merely on the basis of force.

It was already too late to take action to enforce government writ.
We,people of Pakistan,are in denial.It looks like we have no problem within ourself.Every problem we are facing today are created by either US or Israel.We should open our eyes and clean our house first.Indai has nothing to do against us,we have enough problems our own to create destruction for our beloved country.

now that the majority agrees to act against this cult, i m wondering if musharraf wasn't ahead of time? our so called democratic govt has strangled us back in imf trap, wiped off budgets of critically important higher education and strategic defence programs, which musharraf had increased more than ten times compared to 1999 budgets, i m wondering if musharraf was traitor or this govt? this govt has released hundreds of baloch militants unconditionally without accepting their justful demands, isn't it assisting to incubate insurgency in balochistan? will we keep watching balochistan silently like we kept watching when swat fazlullah was running illegal fm radio?

ACTULLY WE OURSELF DONT KNOW OUR DIRECTION WHAT WE FEEL,WE THINK IS CORRECT WE ALL IMMIDIATELY PASSED COMMENTS,E.G WHEN TALIBAN MOVED TO BENIR THEN SANGHALA THEN EVERY ONE WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE ADVANCEMENT OF TALIBAN,EVEN POLITICAL PARTIES AND EVRY BODY WAS AFRAID OF IT,WHEN WE SAW ON TV HOW BUTCHER TALIBAN WAS BEATING A GIRL,THEN EVERY BODY WAS CRYING N CRITISING AND DEMANDING FOR STRIKE AGAINST TALIBAN,

ITS OK IF THERE WAS A PEACE AGREEMENT ,GOVT ACCEPT THERE DEMANDS,THEN WHAT WAS THE REASON WHY TALIBAN WERE NOT READY TO WITHDRAW THERE WEAPONS,THEY WATED TO HAVE A PARELLEL GOVT,AND THAT COULD BE ERUPTED IN ALL OUR COUNTRY,,. WHAT I THINK OR ACCORDING TO MY OBSERVATION USA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR COUNTRY,AS FAR AS INDIA IN CONSERNED WE SHOULD WE ALERT WITH INDIA,BUT MOST PROBABLY WE SHOULD DESTRUCT THESE TALIBAN WHO ARE DEFINATELY NOT PAKISTANIES.,

Taliban are an existential threat to Pakistan, Islam and humanity. Therefore, Army should not call off the operation until the Taliban menace is annihilated.

Hamid, Toronto replied on Sunday, May 10, 2009 03:01 PM

Limo, I am not sure why you started this thread. This is written on the wall that Taliban are not only bad name on Islam but also insane human beings. We all should strongly condemn their insane and inhuman acts.

I don’t think so Govt/Army had any other options here other than the full scale operation. Enough is enough. I would like to mention few of their notorious acts:

- They are destroying Sufi’s Tombs.
- If you disagree with their school of thoughts then you are infidels.
- Burning girl schools.
- Wanting to implement Shariat on gun point
- Killing schools kids with toy bombs.
- Tried to kill Lankan’s cricket team.

The list is long and need hours to complete it. Long story short they are nonsense, insane, and fanatic people. We must eliminate them on our Pak soil. Keep in mind, we are dealing with Tajik, Afghan, and Saudis nationals and their main agenda is to destabilize Pakistan.

The Taliban are a group of UNEDUCATED fools. Let Pakistan start educate 100% of its citizens and not just the elite few, then there would be no Taliban. I blame all the problems on Feudalism and the greedy, selfish, and stupid elite class.

Why are you wasting time to repply this typ of elements.problem for pakistan not from Talban problem started when suporters of Talban coming in the surface like Mr Limo.What yuo thing? those who writting in fever of Talban are not friends or members of Talban, they are same. we are against Talban and their idiea and we suport our government which we elected by majarity of the peple we donot like the people who kill the people just because they donot want their idiology and last thing, Tlban, Soufi have nothing to do with islamic shria,I think gov,t should hang all Talbans leader infront of public starting from Soufi.also we all pakistanies should stand tough against all people who are taking law in their hands and suporters.
All these are enemies of pakistan and helping our enemies.

The verses of Holy Quran allow Muslims to have their personalized “divine guidance” based on their own preferences. Those who like tolerance or want to present Islam as a tolerant religion can quote parts of the Quran that advocates tolerance, while the hardliners, the fundamentalists, the Talibans and even the terrorists can quote those parts of the Quran that foments strict implementation of sharia and Islamic code of belief. Therefore everyone can find what he is looking for in Holy Quran and thus can label as uneducated, fool,nonbeliever and kafir etc etc to all those who do not correspond with his understanding of Islam.

while attacking indian soldiers in kashmir is not...

guess where from this interpertation of sharia is coming from...

these guys have violated established principals of islam, even more than americans have
suicide bombings, attacking funeral, mosques, public beheading of prisoners, attacking prisoner, violating peace deals,,, you dont have to be phd in islamic studies to know all these things are strictly forbidden...

they are challenging not pakistan but ISLAM....

may i suggest total war till complete wipe off these goons....

@Aa

1st u need to clear your mind who actually sufi muhammad is, and how he enter this peace deal. After that come and comment whether who is right or who is wrong. Sufi Muhammad was arrested in musharaf's era and release by this government on the request of ANP. Then they involved him in deal with TTP for the peace in Swat.

@XYZ1

Also, for you if you didn't wake up soon then one day same thing be happening in your town and you might be fighting against nato troops or taliban or pakistani army. The confusion aspect has been created by media, world forces and So called Taliban. But who is paying this price? Swati people, waziristani people, other tribals, other pakistani civilians and worst most Afghan people who are being sent into the war from 1979 for f_____n USA & USSR conflict.

@TS

Musharaf is not a saint, he actually pushed us in the war on terror (and let us to put our hands involve in killing of our other muslim brothers), he started south waziristani operation, he actually done Lal masjid operation where killed 1000s of students for no reason, even after the agreement was done. Of course, this government push towards worst, but starter was of course Musharaf. Just imagine, why would a pakistani will go after his own army? Cause!! Jarga system was working in that area from many decays why the hell he stoped it on the 1st occasion?

@All

just get out of confusion, TTP is not Taliban, Sufi Muhammad don't belongs to TTP, there is foreign element working with BLA and TTP to disstablize Pakistan, if that wasn't case why the hell pakistani leader said number of times that if pakistan will get destabilize then india will also not sit in peace? I am looking for the quote of gillani where he said that A report has been submitted to us that foreign element is on the back of NWFP and Baluchistan disstablization. We all know how CIA and other elements done 9/11 on the basis of which they attack Afghanistan and iraq killed millions of people, & we helped them to do so.

When you put fire in your neighbor brother's house then don't think it would catch your house. We enjoyed song "Sub se phellay pakistan (Islam jay bhar main)" now its time for our enemy to enjoy songs of their own.

For example :-
A moderate Muslim chooses:
2:256 "There is no compulsion in religion
A Taliban/Hard liner chooses:
193 "Fight them until there is no persecution and the religion is of God's".
A moderate Muslim chooses:
73:10, "Be patient with what they say, and part from them courteously".
A Taliban/Hard liner chooses:
2:191 "kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from wherever they drove you out.
A moderate Muslim chooses:
29:46 "Argue with people of the book, other than evil doers, only by means of what are better!
A Taliban/Hard liner chooses:
9:29 "Fight those who do not believe in God and the last day... and fight People of the Book, who do not accept the religion of truth (Islam) until they pay tribute (Jazia) by hand, and being inferior".

So on and so forth…………and this is how there are different School of thoughts, Firqa, factions in the religion where each claim to be true as backed up by Islamic scripture.

salam to all

i agree with all those brothers who support the army action

it is islamic learning that once a person even muslim breaks what he/she had promised ..never trust that person again, otherwise you will pay for it...sufi & Co have violated the peace deal

besides that i think this action should have taken place long before...and yes i dont believe they are pakistanis ...but they are not linked with afghan taliban either

they are indiens(tamil nadu). ghaddars those who have roots to 1947 opposing the creation of beloved pakistan...and agreed with other pk-brothers that these taliban are supported by US, jews and india

may Allah give us the courage to stay united in Pakistan as one uma

It is disappointing to see that nobody talked about the displaced families. It is offcourse hard for us to understand their agony as none of us has ever tasted such a disgrace.I never heard people ever leaving those areas fearing taliban, but this operation forced millions to flee and leave their homes.Our corrupt and short sighted politicians are not realizing the fact that a pashtun fears dishonor more than his death. In a pashtun society it is considered really disgraceful if any of the female family members is seen without a veil, yet the present government is forcing these proud people to flee their decades old houses and live in camps where the life for them is not only disgraceful but extremely miserable due to shortage of resources. The life in these camps may be possible to live for a month or two but if the duration gets longer then most probably the young blood from these camps will produce yet another kind of taliban.
Our respected Prime minister has announced Rs. 1 billion for the displaced persons of NWFP. Simple calculation tells that it comes out 1000 rs per person only (considering 1 million displaced persons). You are requesting a proud pashtun to leave his ancestral house and live in a disgraceful manner in a camp where the resources are too short to meet his needs and in return you are offering him Rs. 1000.
Our atomic bomb was made so that we can live in peace, but unfortunately due to the inefficiency of our politicians, the atom bomb is at peace while we are not. It is a moment of shame for the civilian government that they are dishonoring their own people just to get economic incentives and appease America.
As per my understanding this operation will never bring us the expected results rather agravate the situation.Sametime i fully respect the views of my fellow brothers.

You will have to excuse me; it is unfortunate what is happening to women and children of this beautiful country. But you have to admit that these ... They allowed Taliban to prosper in these areas and pushed back Pakistan a millennium.

For the sake of Pakistani children we should control these people. Education and a chance at life is the God given right of every child. We should fight for these rights. Stop abusing young girls and treating them like some commodity or part of your pride. they are people and they have rights.

@Limo

because these guyz have no relatives in those refuges, they enjoy there life in confirtable beds, can't see who is laying on the roads. These guyz has lost all the human right, they only care about there own confirts. My family lives in mardan we v well know what is happening to those refuges. Whole swat has been rushed into mardan and sourounding areas. Those guyz lost everything. I am sure one day US will come and say Taliban are in Lahore, Islamabad, and destroy those places. A guy said a line i still remember it. "Whole world is fighting with a enemy which is not visible". F*****n war on terror.

@Dk

i said TTP not taliban get it? stop choose picking out of my paraghraph. Also if they are supported by USA, Jews etc, why the hell we are blaming them? why we are not stopping them to do drone attacks. A senotor said some days back "you don't know from where these plane flyes and attack their own people?

@Aamir

1st of all, everything is there is Quran and hadith, people pick thinks which they like from the quran. But do you know who are main culprits? those you take these things as a excuse of their ignorance. We all know what exactly quran is, and what is the value of "Nimaz", "Roza", "Hajj", "Zakat, "Jihaad" and other compulsory acts, including "Shariah". Come on yarr, if you PPP are so saint why the hell they don't put shariah in whole country, and remove the main cause of talibanization in pakistan (backed by foreign hands). Why the hell they don't stop drone attacks? why don't clearly come forward and say this in public that Talibanization in pakistan is support by Raw?

@Pakipower

Excuse Me, who the hell allowed Tajiks, Afghanis and others to come to pakistan? It was Pakistani government which declare "Al-Jihaad" against invidation of USSR. It was Pakistani Government, who have given locations to the people for making armors. It was the Pakistani government who given great scud missile, rocket launchers to those tajiks, uzbiks, arabs, afghanis etc (including pakistani tribal) to go their and find for Islam. It wasn't those refuges who allowed them in. Just because of 1st swat operation, the whole tourizm industry got destroy which given foreigners a chance to recuirte people as a militants against pak army. Pak government should give up this hypocrisy. Make there mind on which side are they? Islam or western (who are fooling whole world).

Ps: This doesn't means TTP are on right track.
