Be very carefull when you post property ad in daily jung. There is a kidnap for ransom gang in islamabad/pindi and is very comon.
They first give you offer very close to your demand.
Sometime they say that their company's MD is interested in your property and he want to buy many more plots. They also try to get your house address and land line number. Its better to post your mobile number. The main thing in this game is that they ask you to come visit them and on the visit they kidnap you, if you are not very rich they can even take your car, money and even watch etc. They can use any phone number, ufone, mobilink and also government numbers very easily and for varification if you call them back, you wont get any tone.
The very simple trick to catch them just ask them " i think app se pehley bhi bat ho chuki hai " then they will drop the phone.
Now a days, you'll get 8 out of 10 buyers calls are fake.

If you have advertised any plot to sell, and the prospective client asks you to come to his house or his representative will pick you up from a certain place and he can lead to his house, do not do this at all. Tell him to come to your place. In the past, I am near victim of such fraud. My sixth sense worked so I took one of my friends with me to prospective buyer's house, they did not like my friend to be with me. They took me upstairs but they kept seated my friend downstairs. As all the plot documents were with me, I sensed their tactics, so some how I managed to escape from their home and we both left the place immediately. Later on, I came to know that they were fraudsters and cheaters. So please be extra cautious in such circumstances. |

Best Thing is to give your mobile number, and if you get call and get some buyer really interested tell them to introduce them Like where they Live where he is working In return you may introduce yourself. Spend some time to varify the details. I never buy a plot unless I Know all history and have meeting with seller and Locate his residence. Always try to reach seller or Buyer in Form of Party Like 4,5 People.
Once a seller asked me why you brought so many people with you. I told him these are all my realtives and we have Custom when they deal they invite me and when I buy I Invite them. He was satisfied. Similarly once a dealer wanted to increase the price but due to pressure of so many people he had to bow. Once I was stuck with the plot which had less Land than i Thought. Dealer was insisting on the Point "Soda" was of Plot as is it. We wanted to pay as much Plot was on Ground, difference was about 3 lac. Same Tactics helped me to get money back full. For this you need to have Couple of Four wheelers.
These are general principles for all sorts of deals where big amount is involved. |

It is really upsetting and sad to see that people want to take something from others that do not belong to them and they forget Allah.
Khair, May Allah protect all of us from such people.
I think best approach is to use a well known dealer as middle man. Don't hesitate to pay commission as reputed dealer could help you not get ripped off.
Dealers are pretty clever and they can make sure that frauds do not take place. But only respected dealers in the market.
Though this is not property related but recently we got ripped off with 550K from a so called person who somehow managed to assure my father that we are under Magic and he would help us take that magic away. So he told him that pay him 350 Rupees for 1572 Quraans he would arrange to be recited.
I told my father to not to believe in such people but you know fathers.
Khair I think worse people are those who rip people in the name of ALLAH.
