I will be traveling to Lahore in 2 weeks. I am not frightened but everyone is telling me not to go because of security risks. However, I am going!!!
I am a foreigner and would like to know about having a private security guard. Do the Lahore police provide this service to foreigners/goras? If not, where can I hire one and at what price. Thanks

Nothing to be worried in Lahore. On one side you claim you are not frightened but on the other side you are not able to hide your frighteness. I assure you Lahorites are very gracious and friendly people. Go there and see for yourself. My experience, guards never defended anybody, because the miscreants come ready to attack. Trust in Almighty God, you will not be harmed there. |

you do not look like a foreigner. If you are, no one will make you target but public places or hotel or target areas are normally dangerous. If you are guest to someone, do not worry, host will like to die before u to defend u. |

Things are not as bad as you are assuming.Unfortunately there have been some incidents in Lahore which were tragic but don't expect some one will target you just because you are a foreigner.Two weeks ago i was in Lahore and two of my friends which are foreigners stayed with me and were surprised how loving common folks of lahore are.So don't worry and you will be amazed how gracious lahorites are. |
