I think the best land near Lahore for agriculture purposes has to be the area strtching from BRB canal to the India Border. Within this large area, the portion between WAHGA crossing to Bedian Road is very nice. I am talking about Mauza Padhana, Mauza Burki, Mauza Hudiara, Mauza Burka, Mauza Deo Sani, Mauza Sarje Mirje and few others. The best thing about these Mauzas and the area in general is that there is a virtual abscence of crime. Most of the crimes reported in the area is when somebody attacks a relative or other on some property-division issue but you rarely hear somebody being robbed on the roads, or houses being burgled or vandalism and pretty much no street crime.
However, land in this area is now difficult to get and has become expensive. But even the zero Line on Indian Boarder can accessed from the Airport within a half hour drive. Since it's a sensitive defence area, the goverment makes sure the roads and infrastructure remain in good shape.
whenever you engage in buying agricultural land, make sure you have somebody on your side who understands the land and revenue matters well and can decipher the jamabandis and fard malkiyats or patwaris. It's not very uncommon to end up with a piece of land which has litigation on it or it's ownership is in dispute.
