Please accept my sincere wishes and greetings on the advent of holy month of Ramadan.
May Allah, the Lord of All Words (Rab-ul-Aleemen) accept our Fasting (Siam) and Praying at Night (Qiam).
At this time we should not forget to pray for the Muslims of Kashmir, Gujrat, Palestine, Iraq, and Chechniya-Inguishtia who have been suppressed and subjugated in all possible respects.
At this juncture, we should evoke that Pakistan came into existence on the night of 27th Ramadan 1366 AH, which, according to many Muslim Scholars, is the Lailutul Qadar (Night of Fortune), the most sacred night of whole year. The first festival, Pakistanis celebrated was Eidul-Fitr.
The word “Paksitan” is made from the first letters of its five provinces namely, “P” from Punjab, “A” from Afghania (NWFP), “K” from Kashmir, “S” from Sindh and last “TAN” from the last three letters of Balochistan. The word has also meaning “Land of Pak” or which is also meant as “Land of Pure” or “Sacred Land.” Pakistan is the largest Islamic State and the only country whose reason is “Islam.” We are Pakistani, because we are Muslims and if there is no Islam then there is no country.
