Protest against the most vulgur ad by RAK Ceramics in Rawalpindi / Islamabad


Dear All As salamualaikum

RAK Cermaics has placed an ad on the highway near the Islamabad Airport. The ad is one of the most vulgur ads in Rawalpindi / Islamabad ever advertised (can't be explained in words)

Please call the RAK cermaics on the following telephone number and protest them to remove this ad.



Please do the following :

1. Please be polite to them while you talk
2. Please tell them that such posters are HARAM in Islam and one should avoid them specially in the month of Ramadan
3. Please tell them that you'll boycott all the products of RAK Ceramics if the ad is not removed from the location(s)
4. Also tell them that you'll tell your colleagues, relatives and friends to boycott the products

Please do circulate this message to as many Muslims as possible

We should first protest the Indianaization of Pakistani TV.
Pakistani women should not wear sari dress. Even Indians have stopped glorifying this dress and they themself learn from Pakistani TV and wear trouser and shirts designed in Pakistan or copied from Pakistan.
Our PTV now looks just crap.. all the new faces reading news, reporting from the field, conducting programes, people invited for interview.. very thing is new and is crap.

Though I have not seen it, I will be the first on to lodge a protest as it seems really bad to have vulgar billboards around, in aprticular in Ramazan,,,,
What is a girl doing in a ceramics ad..????

Although there are many more things to point fingers at as well,,one has to start somewhere !!!!

I think you are more angry than required and in the process doing school error mistakes. :)

Secondly if you don't know what vulgarity is, do a search on google.

i know what vulgarity is but not sure wht the poster means in this case.

my other point was that Pakistan is neither a conservative society nor a religious society.

most Pakistani people want to have a liberal society but we see some religious people trying to change the whole society and innocent people get killed. Dont you agree?

i know our religion is perfect and gives us a complete way of life but i dont see Pakistani people following it. Do you see it? Examples:

* no fair trading at any level
* corruption/lie everywhere in businesses/govt
* women are inspired by west and india
* youngsters dont want to do small jobs

if you see a different picture then please feel free to share examples

We should shun the notion that only Pakistanis wil go to heaven because only here the true Muslim live.
What about Muslims from UK, America, Turkey, Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia etc. etc.
Saudi Arabia is our very good friend and i respect their society, their value, their rules but they also not bind their nationals to follow state rules out side Saudi Arabia! so please, don't expect society like Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, here one has to define rules for him self.
Commercial is made considering trend of masses and attraction.
I have not seen the hoarding but if it is disturbing the traffic than it should be removed but don't expect to get it removed by declaring it vulgar.

I find this post very democratic and very fair.

It is useless to dwell into what percentage of Pakistanis are liberal and what percentage are Conservative, Religious etc. No one has any scientifically collected data to prove their observation.

This post is about the right of the poster to protest in a democratic way. It is very important to note that the poster is not demanding a government ban on the billboard. He is also not asking people to take any violent action. I do not see Mr. Protest IMPOSING his values on any one.

Just like the ceramic company people are exercising their right to display advertisement according to whatever taste they have, the poster of this post has the right to ask people to boycott their product. Freedom of speech is for everyone. Liberals often say “If you don’t like what is on the channel, change the channel”. Likewise if you don’t like what is in this post, move on to the next post. Feel free to express how your values are different, but don't ridicule the poster.

For me, in order to be convinced by Mr. Protest, I will have to see the billboard myself. I will keep an eye on it when I pass by and if I agree with him I will use the phone number he has provided. I think this will be a great way of showing love for our religion/culture/values without imposing on, or terrorizing any one.

Two weeks back I was in Saudi Arabia to perform Umra. I travelled by road from Kuwait to Makkah and then Madina. It is almost three thousand kilometers and there are many small and large cities on the way.
During this travelling I had stayed with some of my relatives and during discussion find out that there is very good buisiness enviorenment and lot of buisiness activities being existed.
However,this is just to inform you that during this 3000 kilometer traveling I did not see any women or vulgarity on hordings or advertisement boards and still they have lot of buisiness in Saudi Arab, so conclusion is buisiness can be carried out without vulgur advertisement board.
