now there is too much debate in media and newspapers that pakistan should lease non cultivated land of cholistan,to gulf countries or not..>>???
although i am not a vey strong supporter of PPP government but being a pakistani any good investment for pakistan from any one should be appericiated.
now few people say that pakistani people should cultivate it by themself.
we all know that we do not have money,machinery to do this..
common pakistani will stand in lines to get Atta,suger or he will cultivate the land..??
what we have not done in 60 years,how we will do this now???
also we are so sincere that our own Gaurd loots 47 lak Rs in lahore last day,in month of Ramadan????
if we see the historey we came to know that we import fertilizer.....from where??? saudia....
while saudia is not agri countrey but we import fertilizer from there and now saudia exports wheat by the way ...
we import sugar from Dubai which is also not a sugar cane growing country..
but hwo these country developed???
they were nothing 30 years ago but with sincere leadership wether this was dictarship or what ever you can say..they imported the best brain from world and this brain then invested in these countries and now they are on top.
how many our pakistani work over there...we can seee..
initially they were taking only 30% of oil and 70% were taken away by those who invested money in gulf (uae,saudia,qatar,bahrain etc)
but
now see their economy.....
now when we have shortage of 30% water which is due to policy of india regarding water dams of last 25 years,we should concenterate on drip irrigation and latest methods so we should not stop any investment which is coming in pakistan especially from our own brothers.
they will not take our lands ,also belive me no arab will come to work in fields,,,will they come..
if such thing will happen theis will be biggest joke of the day as our pakistani ,indians work in field for them in their countries......

Your views are not all correct. Those foreigners who will purchase the land and invest in agriculture will not sell the product in Pakistan. They want to purchase these lands to be able to cultivate the fruits in a more fertile place with somewhat easily available water and then finally they will send the product back to their own countries. This way those foreign investors are only planning for their country's future needs not our country's needs? It is not doing any good to us. In any case you are right that we have done no good to ourselves in the past 60 years either. |

we pakistani can not beleive on our rulers/govt.no body know that either govt is series and really thinkng for the betterment of the country.
i think the best solution is that govt should lease them the land,under the condition of,what ever would be the production 49 % to saudi govt and 51 % to govt of pakistan.,then there is worth with that deal .otherwise we know that what ever land would be sold/lease all the money ultimately will have to go to politicians pockets...
might possible some of them (politicians) had already planned how to utelised the incoming investment for there own ..... |
