This is just for information.
One of my cousins in dubai booked a plot with BT phase 8 in rawalpindi. he was allotted plot in block E. and he paid all the dues around 6 lacs.
last weekend it was my first ever trip to BT rawalpindi to check out status of that plot. Believe me i was surprised to see such a huge development done by BT in that barren land, big roads running up and down the hills. and lot of lot of work in progress. i just could not resist to praise BT. now i can understand why DHA islamabad has joined hands with BT... it is just because of good development experience in hilly area. i use to read lot of bad things about BT but i think those who write such things have never visited BT themselves. Trust me the size of vast barren land being developed by BT is not not peanuts, size of only phase 8 is greater than combined phases of 1,2,3,4,5,6. therefore those of u who have investments in BT 8 need to be very patient to reap the benefits. as u know possession of blocks b,c,d are already given. i was not able to visit block A, but block E is near to completion. i think possession of blocks A and E could be given any time next year after March 2010. But remaining block holders need to wait 2 to 5 years because each block has minimum of around 1500+ plots. sewerage of block F is complete i guess, because i could see manholes but not much work on other blocks.
those of u who have bookings in phase 9........ keep ur fingers crossed and go fishing for a long time. i may suggest to forget any development in next 5 years, unless BT slow down work on phase 8 and start slow work on phase 9 as-well. but in this way both phases will be late.
I think BT will start work on phase 9 when DHAI will start work on their phase III; because both phases are adjacent to each-other.
last thing........CDA, RDA, LDA, KDA, even DHA should learn from experience of BT. No kidding just pay a visit to nearest BT site.
NOTE:i never had or have any plot in BT. for residents of islamabad its too far (around 40KM from phase 8 block E to aabpara(G-6)/blue area).

I believe my friends have seen few kilometer of wide road, fancy lights and got impressed.
In general the final course of asphalt and fancy lights are always the last activity in development sector but Bharia experiment by constructing up side down and stayed successful by convincing innocent buyers. The phase-8 of Bharia was full of hills and heaps and they have just push up with out proper grading and compaction. I am afraid this is a criminal act and will end up with a disaster.
Friends who are familiar with this area are requested to share their views if I am wrong and one those have invested or going to invest are asked to consider and consult this factor prior to make any deal or constructing a house |

BT Rwp is full of surprises whether it is development, additional surcharges, possession, merger or completion time. |
