Hi
I am intending to go back to Pakistan and start a business. I am considering following options:
1. PET Bottles Manufacturing
2. Corrugated Boxes Manufacturing
3. Franchise of a garment company ,i.e. Bonanza
I would appreciate visitors of this website to provide some details where can I get info about machinery etc. for the above-mentioned options.
Also, could other brothers suggest any other low/medium cost business ventures.

I dont want to discourage you but start a business in pakistan only if you have good connections with police and politicians, there is no place for shareef people to do business in pakistan. Dealers and traders in market shall take your stuff and wont pay you anything. When you will ask for payment they will ask you to give more stuff and then give you 10 or 20 percent of your earlier stock payment. This way you will lose all your capital. It will get trapped in the market. |

In my opinion avoid a business which involves sale on credit.Bottle and corrugated boxes will only sell on credit, avoid it.Ready made brand clothes will sell on cash or credit card. This may be a better option. But then you will be targetting a small clientage as evryone can't afford frenchised brand names clothes. Food in Lahore is ideal business. Franchise does well too. |

Dear Atif, I wonder why people are having passamistic thought. Things do happen in Pakistan but still people are minting money in this land of opportunities. There is always a feasability study of every busniess and if it is correct than there should be no problem.
I have seen most blessed people from this homeland talking against Pakistan. |

People are trying to show the real picture, if you have some first hand experience and you can guide someone so that they dont suffer in future, this type of service is a real good deed. |

It is difficult but not impossible to do business in Pakistan. You may also make lot of money in this country. But you must have experience to do business in this country. Just to return back buy something and start a business is not everything. First go to market and do at least 6 months of feasibility work in this country. Don't trust anybody even your own brother. Don't give money or anything thing to anybody in advance. Once you understand and get used to the dealing ethics of this country. You will inshaallah get success. The problem is, when we go to our beloved country, we trust everybody and this is the main cause of failure. Do every work with your own hand. Control and check every document personally and get it testified from the authorities, just don't do any business on the trust basis.
