I would recommend everyone involved in a property transaction to verify a sellers ID card through a simple process:

Type the persons ID card number (without the dashes) and sms it to 7000.
You'll get a reply message stating the persons name and father name against the ID card number.

It isn't foolproof but definitely makes one more secure against fraud.
