I need help from Gurus of this site regarding selection of ceramic floor tiles for bed and bathrooms.
There are many local brands like Master, Sonex, Stiles etc and there are also some made in China tiles available in market.Please guide me as I have no prevoius experience of buying tiles. Sonex tiles seems to favour my pocket very well. has any body expereince with Sonex tiles and is there chance of tiles loosing color, tecture or shape after years of use. Please help!

As you have addressed only to GURUS of this site so general visitors of this site (like me) must be hesitating to reply your post.
I have not much experience of using all these tiles which you mentioned but have used Master, Stiles as well China tiles.
Master tiles are good as far as quality and durability of colour etc is concerned but a main problem with Master is that there will be size problem in different packets. The minor difference in size creates problem in tile setting. Stile is good in size as well as durable but have no idea whether its colour or tecture/shape will fade or not.

Dear Hassan,
I can not give you recommendation on brand but would suggest go for ceramic in baths and Porcelain tiles in rest of the house. There are different grades of these tiles in the market and local tiles are equally good compare with china’s tile. Every one has his own choice of colors but I will suggest you to use light colors and preferably beige / off white for flooring and white for most of the baths as it make it bright and give wide open look.
The most important thing is workman ship, good workman ship can enhance an average cost tiles and bad workman ship can spoil the good material. Have a look of workman ship of person you are going to hire. Buy full quantity you need and keep few surpluses for future replacement. |

Is it a good idea to put ceramic tiles in bedrooms?
Marbel, Granite some other stone is much more suitable than ceramic for rooms other thn bath and kitchen according to my layman opinion |
