Assalam O Alaikum
I want to bring in to attention a serious matter to all my country men, as we know that our corrupt politicians have pushed our country to stone age only for their personal desires, sometime it makes me to come up to the conclusion that the only reason PAKISTAN have survived so far is because, PAKISTAN was taken on the name of ALLAH (S.A.W).
Today when we are suffering from external and internal malicious threats, our leadership have made people to just think about their daily survival food.
I am really sad and surprise about the current decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan about demolishing the SHOPPING PLAZAS which had been constructed illegally in the past.
I have been living in Gulberg 2, Lahore since my childhood, which is a LDA scheme and i know, how difficult it is to chase for a LDA sweeper to come and clean your street. it is the smallest example i can quote, i remember the time when i had been living in my own house for two years as a tenant because LDA corrupt employees just for the sake of bribe put us in their system as a tenant and i remember my father he used to go every day to LDA for two years to resolve this issue.
My purpose here to mention that when our whole regime, all politician and every department is corrupt then how come SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN has ordered to kill those people who have bought shops in this plazas, just ordering to demolish plazas is not a solution to this problem, it is all about killing people who have invested their hard earn money of their life, who have liabilities to marry their young daughters, the shop owners will be the victims they will be the target!
What about the plaza owners who sold out theirs shops, made good money and enjoying their lives!
How come some one construct illegal construction without paying money to LDA corrupt people? what action is going to be taken against Plaza owners and corrupt staff of LDA, who made it possible?
I know one of my uncle he invested his whole life earning and bought a shop, he got 5 kids including four daughters. what is going to be happen with him? Is it a justice to kill innocent people when we have
no system?
I really feel sorry for people of my country its really AZAB-E-ELAHI, YA ALLAH HELP INNOCENT PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN AMEEN!!!!
Regards

Nations spirit is dead and the vultures are on it. Where ever we find a hope we are deceived through it. Big people have their cards to play with but the poor are playing their lives. Who have the time to care about the people? Halal and Haram is for foolish people but for the have's everything is Halal, if you do not agree ask Ulema Karaam they can point thousand reasons to make Haram of your Rizq-Halal or declare you infidel and can bring ten thousand reasons to make it Halal provided you scratch their back what to expect from the Courts they are part of us. |

Strange to see that all against this Excellent action. A good iniatative! The govt. is setting an example so people do not dare do it again.... we have to start to obey the law..... and no ifs, no buts!!! just think about the future. how important the implementation of the law is.... Regarding social prospect of this issue, remember Rizq-Halal kabhi bhi Haram ki place pa (like these illegal buildings ), Haram paso sa nahi milta Regarding point that how can i get to know that the shop n plaza me going to purchase is legal or not. So remember shop rates in all illegal plaza's always little less then market around (15~20%) that the first sign of something wrong, 2nd almost no parking space and many other similar thing.. Ofcourse LDA corrupt is too much in past and now things going to improve. Around more then 100+ LDA officer suspended and FIA register wih NAB help against them and ofcourse first time in pakistan history. Finally there is always a right way to do work and sometime its little hard to follow. As nation we always find short cuts and endup in trouble. Against the implementation of any good step there is always some or huge social ecnomical impact. So in one go can't do all so move at correct direction step by step. e.g. Like Ban Basant many peoples say it give Rozi Roti to more then 50 thounsands but LAW supreme. |

This will create even more negative sentiment in investors. |

Any structural deviation of these plazas from the LDA approved map is illegal construction. Demolishing the illegal construction is the court order which has to be up held. Now the suffers are the present owners of the shops in these Plazas. Who is to be held responsible for this suffering is yet another case. However, the original seller may be held responsible on the clause of "miss representation" that the Plaza was approved by LDA, whereas,a part or extension that was not approved sold by claiming the same. |

It is the duty of individual to think before making investment and not to blame government good action against illegal construction. |
Irfan replied on Monday, December 28, 2009 07:56 AM
ABD, reference to your comment, if I need to invest in a shop from out of country or even if i am in country, where I can go or any government website, which confirm if the subject investment is APPROVED by authorities before I invest? |

Brother Irfan, By mentality we do not construct our own house with out violating construction rules, now you can imagine how much a developer can violate when he is constructing a selling purpose building. Unfortunately we do not have many opportunities of safe investments but to buy plot, file or construct a commercial unit to gain profit for future living. DHA and BT is the only reliable places where one can invest with peace of mind, though these two giants are not caring well enough these days but there is no other choice. I suggest wait and see before situation improves. |

Hei, I am so sad to hear this news and completely agree with the Usman. Simultaneously, we should double check before investment to make sure that the investment is accourding to the law and the land he is going to occupy is also according to the law. This needs a lot of effort but this is the only way. We just want to become rich "rato rat" without having complete knowledge of consequences. I think the time is coming soon that we all will be a part of civil war in the country. Once started, we should attack and start first from the parliament and then from defence area. I will be happy if our supreme court brings few feudals/beurocrats/military generals behind the bar first. |

@atiq raja You call yourself a leader of PPP and now spreading this nonsense. everyone know we have problems and Inshallah we will overcome. Please leave Pakistan and never come back here again. Inshallah, we will tackle all the problems. We don't need people like your mentality in Pakistan. And if you already left Pakistan then you don't have to post here coz you already deny your nationality. Pakistan is not for those who just come here for earning money and leave when the bad times comes. Stop this nonsense. |

Present govt. just want to destroy Pakistan and nothing more. In front of my house some one has built his temporary shelter but despite numerous request from last many years Muncipal corporation is not interested to demolish it because the fellow who has encroached govt. land is actually work as middle man in corporation office. He simply go there every day and catch the needy people and get their work done by connecting them to respective officers. Pakistan is doomed by politicians, our currency is being devalued on daily basis and those who know the monetary system knows why is it so? taxes are increased and only political activists are being benifited. |

Atiq Raja and many others like him have brought huge investments to Pakistan. their investments not only brought business but also added up earning opportunities for so many. It has some meanings if people like Atiq Raja have lost their confidence in their own party leadership. He is not totally wrong. |

dear brothres. i am an overseas and living abroad from many years. in my views this democratic system has failed,in which fudel lords and industrialists have all the say.they have eaten the wealth and waved off their loans and become billioners.. one attacked the supreme court and other are saying straight forwerd No to supreme court on NRO ,are governing elite. in this system no one hears for poor. all have their own fight for power...common people is just a tool to make fool..they spend their days and nights in lines for wheat and suger.. rather giving insentives , federal Govt is open in corruption and looting countrey,,,while punjab Govt and mian sahiban have stick in his hand just like hawaldaar of army and he says do work from sun rise to sunset and for eating you have nothing... in other words do work 24 hrs but with out any overtime and right... some time he is against the teachers ,,some time against the doctors but may i ask that u are spending only 1 % on education and health ..in this what you demand from them . ist increase the budget and give them insentive ...provide them relief and give the status as they have overseas like uk,usa and then check ,,wether they do good or bad.. our media is very free now but may i ask that media person who has check on every field,,, can they have well qualification to do that.... what is the qualification of media person who reports and having check and balance on every one >>???? they openly black mail .. in keeping all this in view...i am not seeing the bright future of pakistan .. we do not correct the grass root ...rather we always want short cut solution of every problem which always fail... |

Let's get honest Pakistan never had martial law in any sense but once when Bhutto was ruling. We always had govt. ruled by civilians. Nawaz Sharif, Bhutto him self are some shining examples. When army take control they always call for referendum, where as election of P.M. and President via votes of elected members is simple result of horse trading. Imagine in recent Presidential elections, members of senate and national assembly sold the photo of their vote for 10-20 million rupees each, which they took while casting vote with their mobile phones. Now analyzing the democracy of Pakistan; I'm aged 40 but have never casted single vote in my entire life, simply because i'm not a registered voter. Although i made my Lahore domicile at the age of 16, nid card around same time and my nadra card almost 7 years ago and now i owns overseas nadra card, i made my passport at the age of 25 and todate renewed it 7 times. I have school, college and university degrees from Lahore, I’m also registered with overseas manpower. Point is i'm a duly registered Pakistani but still can’t cast vote simply because of system. Once, during 90’s i even went to election commission office but left the process because of undue hassle and waste of days. In the beginning I didn’t even knew where is election commission office. That was the time when Pakistan was not familiar with internet concept which is only introduced in Pakistan by previous govt. At the same time most of people in neighborhood have their votes simply because the political parties got it done because they are sure that those votes will be casted to them. Even those have registered vote, who don't have nadra card! or let say are 'khana badosh' even those have registered votes who are foreign nationals and it includes most of assembly and senate members. This is the true face of Pakistan’s democracy. Our system is inherently undemocratic. |
