I came across a gentleman that informed me that their is soon going to be an increase in the property registration duty, I wanted to ask the members if it is true or just rumors since I am currently in a ongoing land deal and an increase in the registration price would be really bad for me.

previously there is no land transfer fee on 1 kanal or less size plots/house. Now you need to pay 4% of total transactional price.

Now you will pay 6% on all resdential land transfer. No matter Kanal or less Before Jan 2010 was Tax Like this
Till 2009
For Kanal 2% stamp and 4% CVT
Less than Kanal only 2 % Stamp
Now in 2010
For Kanal same
for lesser also 2% satmp and 4% CVT
Rates are declared by DC area wise you will have to pay as per rate specified in your area.
For areas outise metroploiton range I am not sure what are transfer cahrges |
