Property prices to rise in coming months in islamabad zone I and II. I don't want to hurt DHA and bahria investors. You are not going to lose in 2010 if you buy the following properties.

best buy are:

G-15/2,3, E-16/3,2, F-17 multi, G-14/4, G-13/4,3, E-11 new phases(small size plots), D-12/4.

House prices are going to rise in G sector specially G-9/1. Perhaps the best place in islamabad to renovate an old house. Commercial property of F-10 markaz is going to get more expensive.

(Investment range between 2mln to 20mln)

For all the details do your own investigation.

I spoke to a friend in Pakistan and he says that the market is dead in Pakistan.

Perhaps it would be more useful if you could tell us why prices would rise in the coming months rather than just looking through your crystal ball.

He is trying to boost investors moral. Otherwise whoever can leave the country are gone are getting to leave.

Here is my 2 cents.

I am seeing Pak’s economy is picking up. Here are some good factors:

1) Reserves has reached at 15 billion plus
2) In year 2009, stock grew at 62 %. I can say with confident that in coming days, index will cross 10,000 barriers.
3) Inflation is between 10-12 %
4) As per last SBP report, economy will grow at 3.3 in year 2010
5) Despite of law and order situation, our export is still growing. At the same time import has been drastically reduced in first 6 months of financial year.
6) CCP commission is doing amazing job in this crucial time. Hat off for Mr. Mirza.
7) Although right now, people are investing money in Saving schemes but eventually this capital will come out and re-invest in real estate market.
8) Chief Minister of Sindh is doing amazing job to explore Thur Coal reserves. He is doing his best to avoid the red tape. Recently several agreements have been signed with local and international companies. I would like to mention one of the coal gas purification agreements under the leadership of Dr. Mubarak (Pak Scientist).

Here are some political factors which will boost our economy as well.

1) Long outstanding NFC award. All four provinces agreed upon this agreement after two decades. Hat off for everyone especially Mr. Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Shuakat Tarin.
2) Good progress on Baluchistan’s issue. Govt is trying its best to bring National Parties into main stream. Lately several Bloch national leaders joined hands with PML (n)
3) Amazing progress on SWAT issue. With the help Army, local politician (ANP), Fed Govt, we managed to put back 3 M displaced people back to their homes.
Folks, this is not a small achievement. Hat off to Pak Army on this issue especially General Kiani.

I am not completely satisfied with economy and political achievements but we are moving in a right direction.

I would strongly suggest to my fellow overseas Pakistanis, please be positive and optimistic. Do what you can do for your motherland. Any small contribution will help us to move in prosperous and economy stable Pakistan. Long live Pakistan!

Very good analysis by Hamid, Toronto. It is time for overseas Pakistanis to contribute for the uplift of country's economy.

Hallo !
I think all is bullshit to predict rising real-estate market in Pakistan. I think the otherwayround. Prises will even decline because

1: Political unstability is/will gradually going up. This is the basic reason. Kepp in mind mid-term electrion scenario.
2: Law and order situation will not go down.
3: Corruption is gradually going up and hence yor investment is/will not safe.
4: Such news just appear to boost artifically the moral of realestate without any changed realities on the ground.
5: In the worst case, we should expect a Govt change (Zardari and Rehman company) before realestate change

Amjad replied on Sunday, January 17, 2010 02:51 PM

I agree with Hamid analysis, Tv ankers are tired now, government is becoming more and more stable, december had gone and march will also pass peacefully. Prices in Islamabad (in real estate)are more stable now, economy is going to be better and i am very optimistic to see again boom in real estate.I will request Khab bhai be positive.
