There are several good nephrologists at Shifa International. Dr Khawaja Sayeed Ahmed is probably the most senior among them. But as you probably know Shifa is very expensive.
Another good option might be Dr Dr. Sameeth J. Khan. He used to be Prof. and Head of Nephrology Department at PIMS but is now retired and works at Islamic International Hospital, G-7 his clinic phone number is .
If cost is an issue then you might want to try Dr. Ghias uddin Butt Address: Bilal Hospital, 38-A, Satellite Town, Sadiqabad Road, Phone: . He is the current head of Nephrology at PIMS but does private work at this hospital. This is not a very high class hospital therefore I expect it to be somewhat cheaper. They have dialysis facilities.
Even if I decide to go to Shifa International for any reason, I choose to get lab tests done at either the “Islamabad Diagnostic Centre” in F-8 markaz or to CMH whenever possible. I find these two places quite good in quality and at a much better price than Shifa Internatinal.
I have no personal experience with Nephrologists at MH but I have heard they are very good and they charge less than their civilian counter parts. If they offer dialysis facilities to civilians then I am sure it would be of high quality at very reasonable price. So I would check out MH first as mentioned by Fayyaz above. |
